Probably about as much as I did prior. About none. Which is also about how much NBA I watch. I much prefer the college game.
It’s pretty clear from the Iowa women’s board that they hate the wnba. Every game someone chimes in with “I can’t wait until she’s done so I don’t have to watch this ever again”
It’s not that you don’t have a point, but badwagon cc fans? She’s 23. How far back do we need to go to not be on the bandwagon? High school?
No way this is intentional by wnba leadership, rather than incompetence.
I would say it is more nuanced than that. I don’t actually hate the w - I hate its current form in terms of refereeing and the treatment of cc by some of its players. Refs are extremely inconsistent and allow ridiculous levels of physicality and impingement of freedom of movement. Then, add in a dash of incompetence by league commissioner, and biases of some current w established press. With the status quo, minus cc, I wouldn’t watch a second if it. Might I someday if the other ails were fixed? Probably not, but maybe.
I agree it's nuanced but it feels like during the game threads no one is having a good time.

Also, this should be corrected in house. Teammates should settle this on the court not stand around and look dumbfounded. If Clark gets roughed up you have to return the favor only a little rougher.
I don't think they were standing around. It was a live ball when it happened so they were playing 4v4.
If handled correctly this incident would not have happened in the first place. This incident has been 2 years in the making.
I don't think AT cared about Clark until Sophie was pointing at DB 2 days prior.
A few years from now Clark and/or Sophie could team with some writers and make a Netflix series that would absolutely kill it in ratings.
The crap that obviously goes on behind the scenes would be great theater. You got racism, cat fights, lesbians, etc.

I've decided to just embrace the soap opera/WWE aspects.
Kind of fun there are so few teams - makes it easy to pick heroes and heels.
I want CC to now go full Larry Bird --- just s/hit talk everyone, including taunting coaches for having the audacity to put a white player on her to guard her (Larry did that OFTEN, lol).

It’s a lot of incompetence because the league wasn’t built from the ground up with successful steps. It was handed a blank check from the NBA.
the league office has never had to answer to the $$$ above anything else. The free money from the NBA has allowed them to worry too much about “feelings” “race” and “sexuality”.
