The Dem party is fracturing kind of like Republicans morphed into MAGA.

Now a faction of the Dems want full communism and it will drag the whole party with them.

Many wanted the two party system to die, looking like we may get 4 parties

The economy is solid by any means. Market is implying less than a 10% chance of a recession this year.

Earnings are solid. Inflation will come back down to target after a brief bump due to war. Market sitting 2-3% off all time highs. Unemployment rate is where it needs to be.

Economy is literally primed at the pump.

It was solid in 2024 and is a little less so now. Again, Trump was handed a strong economy. This may be the first republican since Gerald Ford to not lead us to a recession and all that he has to do is ride the momentum and not mess things up. He's not off to a good start.

Record highs you say? Wow, we haven't had record highs in the stock market since... well let me check.

Years with record high DOW since 1980 (extremely rare):

1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989,
1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999,
2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009,
2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2018, 2020,
2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025

Summary

  • 1980–2026: Almost every year had a record high in the Dow and S&P 500, except for 1981, 2008, and 2009.
  • Since 1980: Only a handful of years (mainly 1981, 2008, 2009) did not set a record high.

Say what you want but the only voice that matters, the voters, disagree with your assessment.

Say whatever makes you feel better, but the voters disagreed.

Yep, they did disagree. TDS is powerful stuff.
:)
People actually believed he was going to bring lower prices and world peace.

Democrats couldn’t bring those either. In fact, when was the last person who delivered lower prices? I’ll wait.

Kind of like if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. Or the “affordable care act”

Politicians aren’t perfect, but literally no one is going to hand the keys to the economy over to the retarded buffoon that was Kamala.

A faction?? There’s like 3 of them. Both parties have their crazies but it’s obvious the republicans will paint the entire party in the communist light.

This is the new thing they’ll latch onto and beat into the ground. Last cycle it was as the trans thing and they convinced all the easily-manipulated idiots that democrats were coming to perform sex change operations on their kids at school.

The democrats need to loudly distance themselves from these socialist yahoos.

anyone else find it interesting that the mainstream Democrats are now finding ways to accept socialism into their party?
I'd say there's a handful of mainstream Dems who see the writing on the wall about people being fed up and tired with the typical corporatist Democrat feckless maneuvering, and don't want to get left behind/voted out. It's pretty obvious this younger group of Americans is sick and tired of how worthless the Democrat Party is, and are voting in other people who are saying the things they want to hear.

No real different than the GOP suddenly turning into the MAGA party because they don't want to anger Trump.
