They should. But they’re recent history is uninspiring. Paraguay has surprised me. I figured they might get a point. In stead they tied for 2nd with 4 points.
The thing about soccer. You can dominate and still get beat. Paraguay takes the lead after the ball has been on their end basically the entire first half.
Was that clutch or did the Japanese defender just get out of position?

I’d say based on these first 3 Round of 32 games that there’s still plenty of quality teams even in this expanded field.

Yep, they are usually automatic. The ones that missed all hesitated a bit. The Germans NEVER do that.
That was certainly an uninspiring performance by Germany. And those PK misses were all brutal. 75% possession. Outshot Paraguay 21-7. And lost. Germany gonna Germany.
