Looking at it that way Lebby may not even be around for the Auburn game.If this prediction is correct, State will be 2-7 going into the Auburn game, after losing 7 straight SEC games.
At that point Lebby would be 1-22 in the SEC. Sylvester Croom went 4-20 his first three seasons.
I know you are kidding and why because Sallee always picked us last , but in this situatioin, he's an Auburn alum so he definitely wouldn't pick us to beat themI'm just shocked I didn't see Barrett Sallee as the author.
I would have no more confidence in the pick regardless of where it landed us.I mean, us, Arkansas, Auburn. All reasonable picks for last. It may be predictable to see it, but it is also difficult to argue with.
Except this year they’ll probably be right. It’s rare that we aren’t picked last or close to it
I think Auburn is an SEC team we can beat. I actually think their expectations are too high with this new coach.I think Auburn beats us with their new coach. You know he has to be circling games that give him a chance in year one to get to 6 wins. The expectations are low, but not so low to lose to us.
Any idiot could see that Jon Sumrall should have been hired by Auburn. And Lane Kiffin to Florida, with Alex Golesh as a backup candidate there (after others turned them down).I think Auburn is an SEC team we can beat. I actually think their expectations are too high with this new coach.
We “can” beat them but I don’t think Lebby is coaching at that point. Hell, we might be better off if he isn’t.I think Auburn is an SEC team we can beat. I actually think their expectations are too high with this new coach.
Obviously remains to be seen how Sumrall does on the field, but so far he had really won over the UF fan base, and the fans were highly critical of the hire at first. Player retention and recruiting has gone well, but they may have more to do with their new football GM.Any idiot could see that Jon Sumrall should have been hired by Auburn. It's amazing to me how these ADs can all 17 this up so badly. Stricklin just continues to make bad hires. I have no idea what Cohen was thinking, there were a dozen available coaches better than Golesh. And neither Sumrall or Golesh are fits where they currently are.
At least we get a SEC win!
MSU Football: 16th in the SEC; 17 in our hearts…Once again, National Sports media expectations of Mississippi State Football are TOO HIGH. Only reason State is picked 16 is because there aren’t 17 teams in the league.
"Lebby's offensive pedigree remains respected....."
Art Briles? Just a wild guess."Lebby's offensive pedigree remains respected....."
By who exactly would that be?
Shiny ($1)MSU Football: 16th in the SEC; 17 in our hearts…
If this were rsfc, I’d copyright that and get all the ($1)s, right, @Mr. Cook ?
