Tennessee parted ways with Coleman.

What's next for Coleman?

Though Coleman has been medically disqualified from the football program, the Vols have kept Coleman on scholarship, per a source, in an effort to support him. That makes his immediate future as a football player somewhat murky. The transfer portal is closed, and the NCAA recently addressed the ghost transfer loophole that those like Xavier Lucas (from Wisconsin to Miami) took advantage of to transfer outside the portal structure, which means Coleman has few options to leave and play football elsewhere in 2026.

NCAA bylaws do make an exception to the transfer portal windows for athletes who have had an aid reduction, cancellation or nonrenewal. However, with Coleman remaining on scholarship, it doesn't seem like that exception could be used for Coleman to enter the portal before it's expected to open again in January, 2027.

Remain on scholarship? At Tennessee? I'm going not need a couple of hours to compose myself.

Reports are that he suffered a head injury at PSU and has lingering vertigo. I wonder if the head injury caused more than vertigo. I feel bad for the young man.
+1. and I'm really surprised he played against Rutgers, I mean he was abused by them and it was like having 10 on defense.

That was our worst defensive performance in years. You are right that he was just demolished in that game. He was very light to play that position as a freshman.

How did he pass physicals and interviews at Tenn, OSU? He signed a massive NIL deal, his former DC was his current DC,
doesn't make sense, Tenn could have pursued another DE.
Whose reports, sources.

There’s a few articles that mention head injury and lingering vertigo. CBS indicates: “Sources also pointed to lingering vertigo symptoms connected to a head injury suffered at an unknown point during his time at Penn State.” Obviously we know that injuries were highly protected confidential information under Franklin that we as fans never got specifics. But obviously Knowles as the DC would’ve been aware. You make a really good point. I’m not sure how he would’ve passed a physical at Tennessee. Knowles thankfully took the wrong DE/edge with him - Kemajou has a really bright future at PSU and looked a lot better than Coleman in terms of the entire package of run and pass defense.
Here is the CBS article for reference:

I love the avant-garde photography in that movie, like when Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak are walking around the Redwood forest. I’ve always liked movies that are situated in San Francisco like Bullitt and 48 Hours.
As a photographer I loved the way hitch framed his scenes and his use of tracking shots. He knew how to establish tension better than anyone.

Right--so I was correct--thank you
Your overreaction to that (factual) comment was the only "fight"
Man up--we'll get along just find or act like a teenage girl and cry like most here--your choice kiddo
Have you ever heard the story of “they’re all out of step but my Johnny”?

You're confusing talent with production
Nothing that happened makes him overhyped--there were clear psychological issues that hindered him
Theres's reasons guys get countless chances--people see the potential
Coleman will likely get another chance if he wants to play

Please do share the clear psychological issues.
