How do they get rid of their aces like Burnes & Peralta & replace them with upgrades like Miz & Harrison?
Solid win tonight. Peterson was an effective MLB starter. Fingers crossed that Suzuki is going on a heater.
Comparing the two pitching staffs and bullpens on paper—Cubs had no business winning that series.
The scheduled Padres starter is Griffin Canning, with a 7+ ERA and a 1-5 record.
So, either 12-10 Cubs, or a 1-0 Padres win.
And, Ethan Roberts, too. Shaw I have hope for because it's a wrist sprain. Roberts has the dreaded forearm soreness
And, remember, he was brought in partially because of his great clubhouse presence and leadership.
I believe I am correct here; the Cubs are 13-4 in the last 17 and have picked up only 1 or 2 games on the Brewers.
