That is why it is so weird to me that there are Husker fans that still want Rhule around...and that their are iowa fans that #8wins and that think their coach is amazing.
I think there are fans at every school that just want good guys, coaching their teams. Those people get roasted on message boards of all schools.

lol…Iowa also has a Heisman winner and is known as “Tight End U” with all the NFL tight ends that they have produced. I know it must hurt that Iowa knocked out Nebraska’s best men’s hoop’s team in years out of the NCAA tourney this year. More pertinent question…who do you think wins the Iowa vs Neb football game this year?
Hey dipsh*t…I never said that I was happy/satisfied with “only” winning a minimum of 8 games per season. However, I pointed out the fact that over the last decade Iowa is only one of four teams who have won at least 8 games per season. It was an attempt to show the consistency in Iowa’s program. If it’s so easy to do…why hasn’t Nebraska accomplished it? The other three teams to do it are: Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State. Obviously, Iowa is not a blue blood program like those other three; however, not bad for a state with a 3 million population and another D1 program (Iowa State), along with an FCS program (Northern Iowa) competing for Iowa high school recruits.
Regarding Coach Ferentz…he’s 70 years old and I think has done enough to retire on his own terms. However, if the Iowa AD replaced him tomorrow, I wouldn’t be too upset. Certainly, changing head coaches every few years isn’t a recipe for success…something that Nebraska fans would know something about.
So, first off, no reason for the names.
Secondly, what you seem to be saying is that your coach has "success" but that you are not happy with that? So which is it? You think iowa has success or you don't?

A “bunch” of teams…I listed only 3 blue bloods who have done it. I was also merely pointing out that for a low population state like Iowa, with a couple other D1 teams, the Hawkeyes football program team has done quite well. Sorry if that triggers you.

No, only big donors really do along with how big of a buy out coaches have. For instance, I don’t think Nebraska would get rid of Rhule until at least 2030 due to his huge buyout.
I suppose if attendance at Iowa really went down a lot, it might have an impact on a head coaches longevity. However, Iowa’s had two head coaches in the last 40+ with good attendance during that timeframe.
lol…I’m just stating that I think Iowa will beat Nebraska again this year, just like I think Iowa will beat Minny, Wisconsin, Illinois, Purdue, Northwestern, and Washington. Also, a possibility Iowa beats Michigan this season, while it’s very probable they lose to Ohio State. All B10 games are equally important.
