Rules are rules and ''victims'' of said rules, and their ambulance chasing attorneys, need to incur some kind penalty/cost for filing frivolous law suits which they lose. We have to stop this out of control judicial roller coaster were on.

I saw the thread topic, and my first thought was "how many days before a lawsuit is filed". I should have thought in hours.

I didn't read the article, but all you have to know is "lawsuit against NCAA", and that some judge will rule in favor of the "student athlete". How will the NCAA ever make another rule? Every time someone thinks a rule isn't fair, they sue and win. What a mess.

How far away are we from having sue to change the outcome of a game?

The only answer is the proverbial poison pill.Athletes as employees and rules colllectively bargained.Give them anti- trust exemption. That’s what keeps pro leagues from enduring all these lawsuits.
Like I said though, this creates a vast number of problems and unintended consequences.
For the first 30 of my 36 years I worked in the property and casualty insurance world representing a large company. We fought tooth and nail to not be considered employees.Once the company learned of all these costs associated with making us employees we heard no more of that.
I’m afraid athletes are forcing this upon themselves and I don’t think either will be happy with the result.
