HS teacher charged with sex abuse, related offenses

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A teacher at Henderson County High School is now facing charges stemming from an incident at the school back in May involving a student.

The Henderson Police Department states Rachel Clement, 29, was taken into custody on Tuesday after being arraigned in Henderson County Circuit Court.

She’s being charged with the following:
  • Unlawful Use of Electronic Means Originating or Received Within the Commonwealth to Induce a Minor to Engage in Sexual or Other Prohibited Activities (2 counts)
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Tampering With Physical Evidence
Megan Mortis with Henderson County Schools says Clement was non renewed and will no longer work for the district.
