This would be funny if it happened. Ark will feel the wrath of backing Cal and having him leave last minute.

So, this has been in the works for a couple weeks, but Michigan went ahead and PROMOTED MIKE BOYNTON TO INTERIM HEAD COACH YESTERDAY only -- under this scenario -- to revoke that status and announce Calipari as part of an elaborate deception that has no purpose because they already know Calipari is the new coach...

I miss the days when goofy conspiracy theories that only the truly gullible embraced at least had a thin veneer of logic.
This may not age well for you.

It was posted on X last night that Michigan is going to be hit with some serious violations and very likely vacated wins, at minimum and was the primary reason Dusty left.
I have yet to see one credible person report that. Everyone posting it was a satire account. I seen at least five different ones last night alone. If you find anyone you know is legit post it here plz. If it is true that’s crazy.

The only sure tell that Calipari is lying is when he opens his mouth.....
Well, sometimes he has to scarf a donut, so not always.

Maybe that's why Kusturica is no longer a Kentucky prospect.
Cal has known for weeks he was leaving Arky and hits a home run with his first recruit at Michigan.
OP had a dream Kusturica is coming to Kentucky. Done deal.

Michigan bb and Arkansas basketball are the same. It would be a linear move.

I’m not sure about that. Overall I think coaching is way better in the SEC so by default Cal wouldn’t lose as many games in the B10 due to being out coached.

Calipari is never leaving his NIL Golden Goose Arkansas!… Not until he retires at least.

Although Michigan is probably top 10 in NIL opportunities, they’re are still way behind Arkansas, who is probably top 5, if not 2nd behind Duke.

Since the numbers are not public we will never know about NIL expenditures, but Michigan has way more money in general than Arkansas. Articles I've read since UM won the title also put them right at at the top of NIL spenders. I'm guessing those articles are conjecture, though.

I wish he’d go there just so we could stop talking about him here.
Preacher fan, that will never happen. Too many people on here are so upset with him. They don’t care where he is. They will demean and belittle him and whatever team he is at. It’s obvious we have so many idiots that post on this board about other schools and other coaches and why is beyond me. This is supposed to be a Kentucky board. Let’s please try and keep it that way.

Pitino should have gone to Michigan.
I’d LMAO if Calipari jilted Arkansas.
UK should have worked out a deal with Tubby in 2001 to get Pitino back here. I know the argument is that Tubby won the '98 title, but even at his zenith, there was no question Pitino was better my a mountain mile.

You have to be bold in life. UK lacked that boldness in 2001.

Arkansas fans are squirming a little bit just hearing that, whether it’s true or not. They may have Tyson and Walmart backing them, but he can’t truly be happy out there. So you can never say never with him.

Whatever Arkansas is offering, Michigan can offer more.

I actually think Cal at Michigan would work. What he needs to do is yet the right assistants around him. But hes a marketer, hed be able to do a lot with Michigan's money. Which I guess most coaches can do.

But players still want to play for him, we see it even at Arkansas. So give him Michigan money to throw around and he could put some nice teams together. Coaching them to a F4 is another hurdle. But again, he did it 4 times here lol.

I’m sure you’re right, don’t get on X much, so most definitely some BS

Didn't Michigan already promote Mike Bouton to interim coach?

Didn't Michigan already promote the one guy to HC?

First of all, this is absolutely another routine attempt of Cal let the rumor out to get a raise like he does every summer. I dont believe he'll leave for michigan at all

BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT .. The "interim" tag on Coach Boynton just means he's coaching them for right now. The thought is they will announce he's coaching them the entire year in the next week or two but I guarantee you they are putting out feelers behind the scenes to coaches they have on their dream list
