Nobody knows what people are actually spending in NIL. Ours has gone up the last couple years as far as value but when you suck and they don't, you don't get the players. It's going to be more bad news this week.
Prolly a stupid question but is that what we paid or what somebody value it by using a formula or whatever ?
Ole Miss has always put in more for football than we have. We didn't start catching up with them until we hired an Ole Miss assistant coach as our HC in the early 70's. He knew how to get the money to the right players he needed. Unfortunately, we got put on probation for it. Now it's all legal.

I don't know if every player gets NIL or not, but the quick math divided over 100 players is $267,000 each. If we just paid 50 players it's $534,000 each. I know it doesn't break down this way, but dammit college football has gotten out of hand. I was a pretty low key and studious guy in college, but there is no telling what I would have done with six figures in college.
I mean the fact that the “grown-ups” have decided that giving the kids more and more money for playing games is just insanity. There’s just no way this ends well for anybody.
What an investment strategy! Give as much money as you can, to a fund that has no public auditing or accounting, no caps, just money that is to be handed out to anonymous people that conceivably may never step onto a court, field, course, or track and can be gone elsewhere in less than a year..............

The last thing I want to do is convince anyone on this board on anything. I state facts about the on goings of MSU but it turns into some diatribe from some idiots who would rather be part of the problem and not the solution. This board has turned into a pathetic cesspool of people who are more in line with negativity and lies than anything else. It’s truly the worst board of any maybe in the SEC. I never try to convince someone to do something I would love for us as a fan base to donate more and to be more involved and positive but that’s not going to happen. We have more fans just looking for more reason to not donate to not attend games and not support the program.
