I'm not really a fan of the Nike jerseys. I like taking the current Adidas jerseys and adding a word mark on the chest. With the interlocking you could have some very sharp, clean jerseys that would really pop.

I'm actually souring on &tate even on the baseball jersey. I get it, everybody got fired up after we won the title, and I do agree that 'State' in general is what we need to lean into. But geez we did it the wrong way, picked the ugliest one possible, and all the anti-banner mouthbreathers like Rosebowl dove head first into it just to get our 25-year university logo removed. Pure stupidity on all involved.

Nowadays that baseball title is in the rear view mirror. In my opinion &tate ought to be too, especially considering what our athletics department has been over the past 5 years. I can live with it being a secondary logo and on merch, but we have better things. For uniforms, the gray pinstripes are better. And the block STATE from option A above is better.

I mean, I have two pair so I'm not downing the shades. I love mine. And I dearly love Dicenzo Miller. But none of that changes the fact that that is one fugly logo.

Athletic Department logo - Script State
Football helmet logo - Interlocking (Script State chest logo)
Baseball cap logo - M over S (85's, Script State alternative jersey logo)
Basketball - Block State wordmark (block Mississippi State alt)
W Basketball - Script State
Softball - Script State
M & W Tennis - Script State
Volleyball - Script State
Soccer - Banner M Shield
T & F - Script State/Block Mississippi State
M & W Golf - Script State

Like it or not, the University continues to use the Banner M for all marketing, internal branding, etc.

For the most part our athletic programs use the Script State as the main uniform logo. Men's basketball is the only major sport that doesn't use that logo at all. It's not uncommon for major universities to have different helmet logos from their main athletic logo (Florida State, Michigan, LSU). Do we want to be Auburn with just one logo for all sports?

I'm not really sure why the Banner M is used for TV broadcasts. That seems like a university decision, not an ESPN decision.

It should be.

It should also be the overall athletic logo, posted on the website and athletic fields. After that, I'm totally find with what you had in your posts.

Again, this goes back to what was allowed to happen when people like Rosebowl got involved. It started under Cohen because he didn't really get (and I don't really think it was his intention), then in the interim time the mouthbreathers stepped in. Then Selmon pushed it in order to have his 'mark' on the program. Thank the Lord Keenum had the sense to stop the total eradication of the banner.
