Is it too early to start a thread on roster predictions for next seasons roster?

I see Howard listed at 6'4. High ranked, so I assume he has the chops. I was thinking of him when I suggested a 3-guard lineup. I know nothing about Wilkins but he's 6'8.
With the usual caveats about heights always being debatable.
add Georgia in the Jim Valvano Classic in MSGDuke adds a home/home series with Illinois beginning this November. The Fighting Illini will come to Durham on November 17th.
If Duke gets assigned to play at Florida in the SEC/ACC Challenge then Duke will face 4 of the Projected Top 5 Teams in the country to Tip Off the 2026-2027 Season.

Just saw KY got the Iowa St kid that withdrew from the draft. I like it. He could have gone to UNC or a team with a real chance to contend. Glad he's at KY.
UNC isn't contending for a title next season, with or without Milamovic. Same with Kentucky.
Was glad he didn't pick Arizona or Louisville.

That could be the game of the year. Both teams should be loaded.
This team is so loaded. Yes, they don’t have the star sure thing lottery forward, but they are going to physically overwhelm most every team they face.
I can’t believe the amount of depth they have. To think JBB is probably the most talented guy they have and will likely not be the first big off the bench is crazy.
what I like most about the depth is come ACC tourney time they don’t have to run their starters ragged trying to win the silly thing a week before the real tourney starts.
cam looked dog tired going in the NCAAT. This year they can provide Pat as much rest as he needs so he’s got his legs before the real one.

We loss quite and as a Duke fan. I was just hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. I was extremely happy to see Dame, Pat, Cayden and Caleb come back.
However, we still loss Cam, Slim, Nik, Maliq and others. We should still have a very good team this year if folks stay healthy and play without ego.
Two things that every title contender have: solid guards and a rim protector. Duke should have that covered.
I believe this year roster is better than last year team. Not sure if it’s up there with Flagg/Kon team, but very close. That team probably had more top level talent but this year has way more depth. I think we are in for a very good season.
Thanks DukeCorey21, there was a poster on here that was 100% confident Rippey Jr. was transferring out once Foster, Cayden, and Blackwell all announced they are playing for Duke in 2026-2027.

This has been said plenty, but college sports have gone bonkers. The powers to be somehow have managed to make things worse.
It's also not fair to rip the kids for jumping ship to make more money. Loyalty is a 2 way street, and why no matter how he plays this season, we all should be careful how much criticism we throw at Foster.

I'd have to think at least some of them bail.
They have 15 days to decide. I doubt any returning players transfer, but new freshmen and guys from the portal might. Less likely now than if it had happened in April. They've started bonding as a team already by now. They're likely to be very good regardless of who is coaching them.
(Edit: 15 days to decide after they hire a fulltime coach.)
