Do you think at all before you post your slop? Do any fact-checking first?

Don't let it get past you that I'm owning you with clicking on the grok button in the same twitter post that you share. Takes two seconds dummy. Why aren't you doing that yourself?????
"Do you think at all? I use AI to do all my thinking for me!"

I'm making you look stupid by going to your post from Xchan and clicking on the little grok circle at the top right of YOUR POST. I could just tell you with my own words but you wouldn't listen then either, so best to show you what AI says about your post after it scans the entire internet. Just admit it Scummy, the truth is of no concern to you whatsoever and this is your way of dismissing it because it makes you look bad. But you are bad so....

HERE IS WHAT I SEE TODAY ON THE WEB

The cost to repaint the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool has ballooned to more than $14.65 million -- exceeding the original estimated cost of the no-bid contract by more than $4 million, according to federal contract data.

In addition to the repainting by Atlantic Industrial Coatings, the National Park Service paid $1.74 million to Green Water Solutions, an Ohio-based company, earlier this year to install a "nano bubble" system to kill algae, using a similar no-bid contract to speed up the work in time for Fourth of July celebrations.

Between the two companies that received separate contracts for the resurfacing and filtration systems, the project is set to cost more than $16 million. The status of the payments to the contractors was not immediately available in the federal government’s contract database.

The Interior Department said in a statement via X, "The advanced nanobubbler technology very effectively killed the algae that has plagued every Lincoln Reflecting Pool reopening—most infamously Obama's reopening—since 1922. The Reflecting Pool water is crystal clear, and our National Park Service team is now vacuuming up the dead algae resting on the bottom of some parts of the Reflecting Pool—just like the destroyed Iranian Navy resting on the bottom of the Persian Gulf."

We will have to see how this works out over the next weeks
Well, if it's on the internet it must be true, although, I am worried that some people working at the federal government might be lying to us.
Second point, it's beyond laughable that these no bid contracts are being pushed out due to national security concerns. Being done by the 4th of July is not a matter of national security.

That tweet by the official us department of interior really is something. So sad how far we have fallen that this behavior is tolerated. Never again do I want to hear a Republican complain about partisan government behavior. Ever.

"David Hearn had just finished a loop around Hains Point on Friday as part of a 52-mile bike ride when he swung by the Lincoln Memorial to see the refurbished Reflecting Pool for himself.

Noticing a piece of the new “American flag blue” liner that was partially detached from the pool bottom, Hearn said he reached into the water to see what it felt like. Moments later, as the Bethesda man prepared to leave, U.S. Park Police officers arrested him on a misdemeanor charge of destruction of government property. He is scheduled to appear in D.C. Superior Court on July 9.

Hearn’s arrest ignited a social media flurry as President Donald Trump and his allies blamed the pool overhaul’s problems on administration opponents. Emily Miller, a conservative journalist, posted a 2 minute and 8 second video on X, which showed Hearn detained by two members of the National Guard and subsequently surrounded by Park Police officers.

“Man arrested for vandalizing Lincoln Reflecting Pool. He grabbed the hose that female National Park Service workers were using to clear the algae,” wrote Miller, who confirmed via text that she had filmed the encounter but declined to speak on the record.

In an interview Saturday, Hearn, 67, denied damaging government property and said he had never touched the hose, though he acknowledged that his bike tire may have.

“I didn’t vandalize anything,” Hearn said. “I didn’t destroy or break or peel anything. By the time I realized what was going on, I was being put in handcuffs.”

Asked to describe his actions, Hearn said: “I reached in there, and I was able to grab the end of that flapping piece, the already peeling piece. It was still attached to the bottom. I didn’t remove anything.”

Hearn is a three-time Olympian who competed in the canoe slalom. He won two world championships in whitewater racing before retiring from active competition in 2002."

Actually i am reading up on the situation as i am doping my swimming pool and fish pond with algae problems so I am interested in learning more just for the sake of being more educated.

First issue is stagnant water will become algae infested as algae is everywhere and spores blow into the water causing a bloom.
When I first saw the reflection pond i wondered was it a big concrete tub with no fresh water. Answer is water is routed from the Potomac River into the pool. Seems the sewage problem had left residues in the feeder pipes from the river with contaminants.

second I wondered if this had been a problem before and the answer is yes and this was an attempt to clear that up, There are chemicals you dump into the water to treat algae and the hydrogen peroxide was one solution,

Seems also some folks dumped toxic algae into the waters which obviously does not help.

But short answer is the problem is going to be fixed,

Trump is not the problem but a lack of analyzing and fixing a long term problem

it is going to be fixed is the good news.

Did many contracts and no bid or single source is very common

The contractor as the single source has to pretty much fix the problem as for example Boeing has had some muck ups but the company does so much government business their failures are overlooked as they are literally too big to allow to fail and we are heavily dependent on these types of companies

it's the reality of life and business

Still think the Reflecting Pool problem is Biden's fault.

What else could it be?

When has this administration taken responsibility for anything?

Not bidens fault
but a poor design from decades ago that always had a problem and needs some extra work to make it low maintenance

The answer was to treat with EPA Labeled Copper compounds. If there are no fish, use maximum labeled rates.

Copper will make the water a bright blue and is labeled to control algae.

He deserves some of that weaponization of the DoJ fund money. It's insane that anyone is arrested for picking up garbage. Where are Ted Cruz and Rand Paul? Seems like some outrage is missing on the right.

Is there a reason not to enforce capital punishment on each and every one of these people?

Another journalist is on record stating he was indeed ripping up the liner. Now we have a dozen or so green and purple haired libtards in the pool causing problems. Personally I think we should hang each and every one of them. Is that too harsh?

oh for sure, I totally agree capital punishment is needed for people "ripping up the liner." Very rational. Much logic. Such smart

I just put a chemical formulation in my fishpond which kills all algae

Only issue is you can only put in 1 gallon per acre of 8 foot water if you don’t want to have a fish kill as the chemical removes oxygen from the water during the killing of the algae

I am looking it up and think it’s called Crystal X but have it left at farm

Farmers can use it in watering troughs and such and animals can drink the treated water

Seems this is a combination of vandalism and some left over contamination along with the sewerage issue from the Potomac River where water is drawn from as a source feeder for the large pool

What’s funny is the majority of people commenting. On here know squat about ponds and pools and are blathering .

I use UV lights on a lot of water sources I have to help kill out organic crap. That helps lower the chemical needs to kill off organic material.

Talking to pond specialist about my pond almost every day this week as I added fertilizer when I should have added algae killer.

Too much phosphates in the ponds.

They clearly cannot pump in water from the Potomac or the Tidal Basin because it is fully contaminated with algae. But the quantity of water the reflecting pool holds is ginormous. I believe I have heard it reported that the reflecting pool holds 300 million gallons of water. And my guess is that this blue liner (whether it is plastic or rubber or something else) is not gonna put much of a stop to the leaking that has plagued the reflecting pool for some time. The leaking was previously deemed too extensive to refill with fresh water, so they turned to pumping in water from the Potomac. Hence, the algae problem.

It seems obvious at this point that they can't fix the algae problem until they fix the leak problem. Comments on this are welcome.
