This time of the year, we all need a football fix. That picture looks like a soccer match. Speaking of soccer, don’t know much about it but it’s fun and interesting to watch teams from around the world compete and the enthusiasm of their fans, and at the different venues.

Heard Charlotte is vying to bring the Womens FIFA World Cup there. Gosh, if that would happen there might be some of the matches in nearby locations like Raleigh, Columbia or heck, maybe even “The Great Community.” I’d bet soccer fans from Algeria and Bosnia-Herzegovina would just fall in love with the Poor Boys and fried onion rings.
Would be even more impressive if they did it against the five lineman the average 6'6 300 something pounds
Maybe we could finally find a field goal kicker if that happens
One of sports network I seen has way too early prediction. I just give top 5. Hickory, Newton Conover, East Lincoln, Maiden and West Iredell. Any thoughts with this prediction.
I'm not saying it's impossible, but you're more likely to see me take a dump in my hands and start clapping than Newton finishing 2nd.
Got lost in the sauce and hadn't commented prob since football season but whats going on with EB?
I have to say I was surprised when I saw that prediction. I just don’t see N.C. finishing in 2nd place.
About lost their head coach to East Rutherford but something fell through didn't happen
I know we joke about coaches jumping ship when they see the tallent pool is and will run dry when they look at the forecast of theirt middle school and jv tallent levels and their abilities but my goodness I hate to think that would be a reason for him even wanting to make that move when he JUST got there. I wont harp on EB cause they aint in this conference but they are a close by team

But hey, Hardin left Freedom after one year so why would anyone be suprised with moves like this ya know. But do bear in mind EB just lost alot of speed to this graduation. They got Rees back and he's one of the fastest track men this side of the state for 4A but not much else around him speed wise. They do have a good soph QB that has improved more and more and carried a decent JV team last year

Seems like you guys got a good freshman class coming in. The QB might be the icing on the cake. His brother was a stud for Providence Day. Maybe Gatorade player of the year for NC, not sure. It will be interesting to see if he stays at maiden for all 4 years.

I’m sure he has gotten better since the other week VS Lincolnton! Which our secondary is legit! Tough measuring stick against us!
LR FCA camp was not loaded with powerhouse teams, so Bunker had potential to look better than they are for sure. They are still young.
I have heard same about Newton, athletic and young. For most years, you could probably say that about them. Be interesting to see if they can put it together

If you have an above average QB…. You should be hard to stop in a 7 on 7….. No rush a clear view
I remember watching Brady 2 years ago for hickory.
I watched him in 3 7 on 7’s. I don’t recall him ever throwing an incomplete pass.
I could see Newton being a hard team to beat in a 7 on 7. I’m sure they got speed. If they have a decent QB. They would be hard to stop

Newton has this year and next and then should see a downturn. Middle school team sucked. They have no rec league football all the kids play at maiden rec or ducks travel team.
