just why, I like Bourbon as much as the next guy, but if you are gonna drink a quality Bourbon, drink it neat. I sit at bars all the time and see people order Blanton's Old Fashioned's and I'm like why, just why. Add to say, drinking it with a block is acceptable.

My beers were $12.00 a piece for Miller Lite so I can only imagine what his cost.

This is how my businesses launder money. We have a real Blanton’s and a fake Blanton’s. The fake Blanton’s is something cheap. Sometimes we use sweet tea itself, so it’s really a double sweet tea with sweet tea. We have a few people who we rotate through ordering fake Blanton’s at $40 a drink. We clear about $5000 per day per bar. Real customers get intrigued sometimes and order the same, in which case we give them real Blanton’s at a good margin.

We used to have a Kentucky Derby party. One year a guy brought his own Blanton’s and asked for a Diet Coke. My neighbor, who is a Bourbon purist, went off on him.

“Hundred dollar bottle of Bourbon and you want to ruin it by putting a Damn Diet Coke in it!! What the H_ll is wrong with you, man!!!!”

It's stacking up. Local liquor store had 5 boxes/cases of Blantons last week. Boxes of EH Taylor and Eagle Rare. If you bought one of their barrel picks you could by Stagg jr for $100.

Blantons and tea are for the poors.

Mixing Pappy with coke is a sin.

Gonna be interesting watching the bourbon market over the next decade or so now that the inevitable decline of the craze is happening.

There’s a tremendous amount of whiskey aging in rickhouses and elsewhere.

Maybe the price for a barrel will get reasonable.
