This is why I am not a fan of playoffs in an unregulated league. Meaning the NCAA. A team can literally suck *** all year long and still make the tourney. Same goes for basketball and football (technically). Now, good on OU if they can win it, but this **** shouldn't happen. At least professional sports has a fair way to weed out the losers of the regular season, for the most part.

Ole Miss in '22 had a losing record in the SEC, lost in the first round of the conference tournament, barely got into the NCAA tournament, then won the regional as a #3 seed on the way to a CWS championship.
And beat Oklahoma in the finals

I always enjoy the CWS but honestly, this year was probably the most boring one I’ve seen in all my life. There didn’t seem to be many competitive games. Most were like last night, where one team is in complete control the whole way. Not sure why it played out that way this time, but it is what it is.

my way too early picks for the CWS next year:

LSU
Texas
Miss St
Florida
Nebraska
UCLA
Georgia Tech
North Carolina

The finals teams were not as good in years past, and it was mainly the starting pitching imo. There didn’t seem to be as many great hitters on these teams as well.

Absolutely. Only Georgia had a decent lineup top to bottom and even they got shut down.

I'm sure everyone is shocked and surprised that the Big ten is complete *** in baseball in baseball

Big Ten schools are pissed that they even have had to upgrade their lame facilities over the last 10 years.

They loved having lame fields with coaches that were cheap...not worrying about upgrades or updates on anything. Now they invest money into it and the product still sucks.
