Hey Dawgstudent, why not create a second board...

to ensure domestic tranquility. We can call one SPS-L and the other SPS-R. Everybody will have to declare their perference and thereafter be confined to their chosen board. The rare centralist can chose any board and will be able to enter the transfer portial one time every 4 years. Anybody caught trying to crossover to the other board will be banned for life and suffer blue tents only. Problem solved, you're welcome.

Society needs fewer echo chambers. Would love to see respectful dialogue from differing perspectives that allows for nuance and even a place for those pesky fence-sitters to weigh in. Assuming most on here are educated adults - maybe we start acting like it.

I wish we went back to the original way elections were held so we could have had a Trump/Hillary presidency followed by a Biden/Trump presidency.

Yes. No one should be subjected to the offensive trauma of having to see or hear someone express a differing opinion even when that opinion is stupid.

What generally happens in political posts is that a few posters go back and forth banter with each other trying to convince the other they are correct. If the number of posts by each poster could be limited that should solve the problem. I don't mind political posts until the back and forth starts.

The political posts are actually pretty interesting. Until they aren’t. When the usual suspects show up and start talking about the MAGA’s and the libs it goes to *****. It always ends with 3 or 4 people hurling feces at each other.

ETA: the machines are getting smarter. It censored s-h-y-t-e

Yep, and nothing one says can change the fact that politicians do not care about you and me, only themselves. They will do only what benefits them every single time. So, arguing points matters not one bit. And, here in Mississippi, the only elections where our votes truly count are county-wide and for supervisor and/or municipal. We do not elect presidents here, and in Copiah County, at least, we do not elect representatives and senators.
