No disrespect but in this case I am nearly 100% certain he knows more than either of us. You are free to believe what you want of course. And it still amazes me that Iran can hold a world hostage with their obliterated, or mostly obliterated, military. How is that remotely possible? Whatever they have, it’s effective, and we should be buying it in droves.

You understand Russia and China was hurting during this period too right? Iran isn't capable of doing **** as long as we avoid the mistakes of Iraq. Which we have done so far. As far as Cruz he thinks he's going to run for President again. He's not beating Vance and Rubio. So you can ignore him.

If Iran doesn't comply we can go right back to an embargo. Until then the IRGC can keep looking over their shoulder in anticipation of the regular army and a bunch of civilians coming after them. The odds of that happening anytime while Trump is in office grows every day.

Just so I understand correctly, Cruz and Cotton are now on the Fake News list, and are Leftist Commie Democrats, not to be believed or trusted. Did I get that right? Just trying to keep up with the constantly changing MAGA narrative.

If Cruz and Cottton get elected President they can land 500,000 troops in Iran if they can get congressional approval. If the Democrats win they can surrender. Until then the President of the United States. That's Trump gets more information than all of them and can adjust as he goes. That will depend on Iran's behavior. As Trump and Vance have said numerous times.

The MSM. Also not in charge and only want views. So they don't get a say either.

You haven't got anything right about the entire subject. As far as you know there's intelligence types from multiple allies in Iran working the Regular Military and New Leadership to eventually take over when everyone is ready. Hence why we didn't kill everyone there that's in their military. The reality is you don't know anything and are only complaining because you are getting paid to complain about Trump.
Spent some time this afternoon reading through the entire thread. I'm not aware of ANY money we've paid Iran, let alone 300B! Where is that lie coming from?

They have not closed the straight of Hormuz, it is open for business. We've agreed to end our Naval blockade against them as long as they don't interfere with ships ready to pass.

As I understand this temporary MoU, they agree to lay off firing drones at the ships, and they agree to give up their enriched uranium along with pursuit of a Nuclear weapon. This MoU just means we now have 60 days to work out the details as long as they behave.

If they don't, we'll resume kicking the crap out of 'em until they either give up or we kick all the rest of the crap out of 'em!

Where have we paid them anything, or even plan to especially if they don't cooperate?

What am I missing here? 🤔

A localized conflict over the waterway would disrupt global energy markets, spiking oil prices worldwide. That's why we don't militarily force it. The blockade worked perfectly. Again. Iran is no threat.

If it were, it would do something.

Cruz is entitled to his opinion, but what makes Cruz's opinion more valuable than the opinions of senators who agree with the deal?

You're just cherry-picking what supports your hatred for Trump. For instance...The Vice President is more in the know than Cruz. Why are you discarding JD's opinion?

Plus...What's the alternative?

We are buying drones in droves. Problem with the strait is the companies insuring the tankers are or were saying, no insurance.

If their military is completely obliterated, how is it that the Iranians are still able to control the Straight of Hormuz? All previous administrations (both republican and democrat) were smart enough to NOT attack Iran because they KNEW this would happen. Donny thought he was smarter than everyone else like always and went ahead with the Israeli plan and the results were EXACTLY as predicted. Now he worked a deal to PAY Iran $300B to open the Straight again. Donny and his MAGA Sycophants complained vociferously and repeatedly about Obama’s $1.7B deal yet they turn around and give them $300B. And the MAGA’s rejoice. Lol 😂 You can’t make this **** up. Is that Unconditional Surrender to you? lol
Smart enough or to scared because of politics? Iran needed hit hard . Fear cant be part of the process.
The U.S could have kept bombing until iran was complete and total rubble but Trump stopped to spare them . Iran has been killing for years and it would have sent a nuke soon as they had one , if not would have shut the straight down by threatening to use it . Im not completely happy with the deal and absolutely against any country giving them a nickel to rebuild. Happy to hear the US will not be ... I do think we will... Iran has enough resources to rebuild themselves if they are not funding terrorists.
Bottom line they need destroyed 20 years ago but nobody had the balls or at that time we didn't have the Muslim coalition we have now .

@Gunny46 you're smart enough to know the last thing the Left wants to see is a successful end to this conflict with Iran and a clear victory for Trump. Ignore their caterwauling...they have nothing else they'd be doing better besides appeasement of the Radical Mullahs and the IRGC terrorists.
Democrats hate , absolutely despise solving problems. They make more money and have talking points if problems go on and on forever

They have an opinion. Let me know when either one becomes Commander in Chief. Then I will care about their opinion on a subject Trump is more than capable of making adjustments to get the outcome he wants as President.

$300 Billion seems like a lot of money to me. Plus release of frozen assets. Interesting. How is this better than the former JCPOA plan?
You're worried about $300 billion yet not a peep from you on $500 billion in Minnesota alone from liberal frauds. Add let's not forget California and DC and it probably grows to over a trillion dollars. Need I remind you Fema fraud where Biden cleaned the bank and gave it to Illegals plus a monthly social security check free rent.

Stop with your BS.

Nope. Just pointing out the lies and hypocrisy that permeates this forum. The faux outrage over the Obama $1.7B payment and JCPOA yet the complete support over Donny’s Deal that pays them $300B, some immediately by allowing them to sell oil, and the terms that are very similar to Obama’s. Where’s the outrage. 😂

  • The United States of America undertakes with regional partners to develop a definitive, mutually agreed plan with at least USD $300 billion for the reconstruction and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The mechanism for the implementation of this plan will be finalized as part of a final deal within 60 days. All required licenses, waivers, and permissions needed for the relevant financial transactions will be granted by the United States of America.

Mmmmm Obama gave them tax payer money. This deal allows them to make money.... big difference.
Now if you can prove the U.S gives them our money I'll be just as pissed as anyone. Oh yeah that 300b comes from other countries and only if the fall in line .

Why does it matter where the money came from? I don’t really understand the rationale “well, it’s not our money so who cares”, especially if the goal is to weaken the enemy. I’d argue Iran’s coming out stronger in the long run w zero sanctions (worth billions), $300B in their pocket, and new leverage over the Strait of Hormuz which they will close anytime they feel like it. They’re certainly coming out of it richer, and with more economic leverage than they have ever had. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump allows them to continue to enrich Uranium to an extent - he already began to set the stage for it at G7.

Also at G7, Trump made reference to the economic strains this would cause if it went on any further.

“President Trump said Wednesday that oil reserves could have run out in four weeks if the Strait of Hormuz were not opened.

"We run out of reserves at about four weeks," Trump said in France while at the Group of Seven summit, discussing the recent memorandum of understanding with Iran. "You know, there are reserves all over the world, and we would really run out, and there'll be a time when you wouldn't be able to get it."

He said it would be "bedlam" if the oil ran out.”

Make no mistake - we lost this conflict. Iran bet that the economic pressure would cause us to fold before them, and they were right - Trump’s comments prove that. FWIW, I think Trump did the right thing. We should not have been there in the first place, so getting a deal is the right move. Not many Presidents would be willing to put their ego to the side, which surprised me but I respect him for it. Now, we just need to control the Israel/Hezbollah situation, or this song and dance will continue in perpetuity.

I'm sorry but your entire analysis on this is not only dead wrong, it's completely deranged.

First of all Iran has zero leverage. Their ability to project power has been eliminated. Yes they can disrupt shipping on the straight of Hormuz, but we shut them off from their chief source of revenue (oil) with our Naval blockade. We were still guiding ships through the straight and they couldn't do a damn thing about it!

Their economy is in shambles and they are broke. We forced them to the negotiating table and into this agreement. They were about to be wiped out and left with nothing, which we easily could have done and they couldn't stop it. This agreement saved their lives!

Finally, they don't get a penny unless they live up to what they've agreed to. If they start attacking ships in the straight or refuse to give up what's left of their enriched uranium, we will finish them off like we were close to doing and they don't get a penny. The money they could receive (if they behave) is oil revenue they are restricted from now or investments from their Arab neighbors. We still don't give them a dime!

I know you hate Trump and want to portray this as a loss for him, but because of what I've just explained to you as the facts behind this successful operation to force Iran into compliance, others can now easily see your rant is delusional if not altogether deranged. 🙄

Not sure why you laughed at the below. What I mentioned is an actual military tactic to accelerate a color revolution aka civil war.

You don't understand tactics
You have no leadership skills
You can't shoot
You can't fight
Most importantly you aren't very bright.

So if it comes to that it means you will be considered an oxygen thief to those that do poses those skills. Polymarket would give a 0% chance of lasting a hour.

You definitely should be rooting your *** off that Trump is successful at stopping the Marxist Movement that has already defeated the Democrat Party.

Did they ever admit the Lawfare against Trump was nothing but a bunch of made up phony charges by Dems trying to make sure he couldn't get re-elected?

Ans No!

Have they ever given Trump credit for closing down the border creepy Joe left open to every Tom, Dick, & Harry Narco terrorist or human trafficker who wanted to come here?

What point in the MOU puts any handcuff on Iran “if they continue to support terrorists”? There’s certainly nothing in regards to Hezbollah. Apart from a reaffirmation of no nukes and opening the Strait, there’s nothing that holds them accountable to that. Most of the burden to execute the deal is on us and our regional allies.

Why don't you Leftists just sit back and let Trump's team negotiate exactly what we want from them? It's a memorandum of understanding...an agreement to accept a negotiated settlement of our demands based on our specifically defined objectives. They have to show a willingness to change their behavior before we agree to sign anything permanent with them!

You all have them walking away with a 350 billion dollar check and a fully re-armed IRGC!

I know you Leftists already think Trump is cowering in defeat, but the actual negotiating hasn't even begun yet! Good Lord!

That’s already been defined in the MOU
Exactly! So what's all the wailing and gnashing of teeth about claiming "Trump's lost" or "Iran's coming out of this stronger than they've ever been"? Until a final deal is settled and we see how Iran behaves in the meantime, isn't it best to just wait and see how everything turns out? 🤔

Oh, I agree - let’s see how it plays out. You made it seem like the terms were still being negotiated when they’ve already been defined. But, objectively - the US didn’t establish these terms in a position of leverage. That’s clearly in Iran’s favor. Even Republicans are breaking rank in agreement w that.

Would have to be up to us and our regional allies because iran is untrustworthy at best. The no nukes was the biggest part of bombing them and I fully support that and would have suffered the temporary high gas prices longer to get that . Hezbolla is a different problem caused by the same **** bags . Israel will keep defending herself and i dont blame them . Its a wait and see situation right now and its trending in a good way . Iran has never been a easy problem its not cut and dried for many different reasons. I do believe knocking them down several rungs on the ladder has been a good thing .
As of right now im content with the situation and what im hearing. Our government can screw up a soup sandwich , they have screwed up s.s and make us thank them for it ...
