Part is Europe has always had fewer spots than it deserves (13 bids in 2022 when based on merit they probably should have had 20). Part is whacky UEFA qualification process and group draws. But by far the most part of it is massive failures by the teams. I mean they won the freaking Euro in 2020, but missed the World Cup in both 2018 & 2022.

The biggest issue there is that Europe deserves a certain number of like 20 auto-qualifiers on merit, but there’s no way to do it without giving an equal number to the Big 10***
