Proof that rich people can be really stupid. The proposed boycotts of TTU are because potential opponents can't be sure if gamblers are trying to affect the outcome of games. TTU has shown they don't really care.

Still amazes me how the media can't get facts correct, are lazy in doing research but must control the narrative on how the entire PSU community knew about Sandusky and they all covered it up. But thankfully as Karen predicted this is all forgotten now... :rolleyes: There is a special place waiting for her....

An aspect of this disgraceful display was corporate leaderer types on the bot treating PSU like a corporation beholden to shareholders rather than a university beholden to alumni. Slash, burn, disown, and move on against the will of alumni doesn’t work with a university. Additionally, getting it wrong and then continuously digging in your heels against the will of alumni does irreparable harm.

Ira is a good dude. He supports the wrestling program and is a major reason we got Cael. I don't know why he is so hated here? He isn't hated on the wrestling board at all

The media are worthless and are nothing but propaganda and that's why it's important to do your homework and not just rely on your bubble for information.
I realized all of this back in 2011 when the media coverage of the second mile scandal was just horrendous. I was still on Twitter then and major media figures would deliberately lie about the facts and deliberately misrepresent what Joe said.
I would ask them why are you leaving out the part where Joe says "With the benefit of hindsight" and they would call me a cultist and a ped enabler.
24 hours a day radio personalities would castigate all of Penn State and say everyone had to know including fans.
I remember when that scumbag Desmond Howard said Penn State fans were always arrogant with our WE ARE chants.
I could go on and on.
I had never seen such an all out effort by the media to destroy people. Anymore I'm not surprised but I was naive then.
And then I had to go to games and get lectured about if you see something, say something as though we as fans were involved and it was humiliating. Penn State's administration then and now was and is a disgrace. Same for the media. They make me sick.

You must be new around here. Very simple, follow the money. There were very powerful people associated with the 2nd Mile. People high up in Fortune 500 companies, people with a lot of wealth that many stood to lose these positions if linked to Jerry and the 2nd Mile. They needed to disconnect themselves quickly from the 2nd Mile and have everyone look at the shiny carrot dangling over there. Hence why Joe was thrown under the bus. They knew the media and focus would be completely on Joe and take them out of the spotlight. Then they wanted this out of the media spotlight quickly once Joe, Spanier, Curley were hanging in the town square. Hence the quick settlements to all the "victims" with zero vetting. Then trying to tamp down the PSU crowd when they had enough and started to push back on the BOT, Karen tried to calm the masses with her infamous statement this will all soon be forgotten...
