Chick-fil-A has lost its spot as America’s top-rated fast food chain after an 11-year run, with Jersey Mike’s now taking the lead

They closed the one near my office and I do miss it.

Use to get the hot chicken bacon ranch, add banana peppers, sub chipotle for ranch.

I fully support Jersey Mikes being #1. I do like Chick Fila but I've relegated myself to being a 5 year old and only ordering nuggies there. I had an awful run of about 6 chicken sandwiches being half gristle and I finally gave up.

Side Note: a fantasy of mine is covering my wife in Chick Fil-a sauce and going to town on her

Unfortunately, having 2 kids involved in travel baseball for many years means we end up stopping by quick-service food joints far too often ...

Jersey Mike's is better than Subway, but the kids don't really care which one we get between the two ... and any local sub/sandwich joint is usually preferrable to either option.

Despite the weirdo Christian tie-in, Chick-Fil-A is clearly better than either of those two options, and probably the #1 option of any of those listed.

If we're going the quick burger joint route, if there's a Five Guys, we're headed there ... otherwise it's Wendy's (a disgusting Baconator is where it's at), unless the one child has his hankering for a 20 piece nugg, then it's McDonald's (which is, obviously, awful). Burger King isn't even a consideration. The one child prefers Shake Shack to all of those, but it's not really local to us.

Pizza? All those options are trash, but one kid likes Domino's. Need to get the paternity checked on that one. Awful pizza up here in New England ... it's the one thing I miss about eastern PA, where every local pizzeria is a hundred times better than any of the chains. Here, it's a lot of greek pizza, or bar pizza, or just bad, tasteless pizza. I'd rather just try a local mom n pop pizzeria and then complain it's not like I used to have, than to order from any of those chains.

I don’t thing either are great and I can’t remember the last time I went to either.
I think I went to a Jersey Mike's maybe 3 or 4 years ago, and the last time I went to a Subway was probably 15+ years ago.

There were so many sandwich places better than Subway that it became the option of last resort - like if I'm working in a really random, remote town. Then with Jersey Mikes, it got to where I couldn't justify $12 for a regular, simple sandwich, then $2 for a bag of chips, and $3 for a drink. Add in tax and any kind of tip you choose to leave, and you're at $20 and that's crazy.

I like Chik Fil A's breakfast better than any other fast food options, but that still only means I remember to get breakfast from there once every few months. I got to where if I want a chicken sandwich, Popeye's tastes better to me.

CFA is about the only place I will happily order a salad. You basically get an extra large order of nuggets on the Cobb-like salad. Get it with the honey mustard dressing. Solid.

I will agree only so much that subs are not car food and therefore CFA nuggets are a better car feast.

Just had a baconator for lunch because the CFA line was too long after running to the bank. I was going to get a salad at CFA but instead got the double bypass burger at Wendy's.

I miss 1980's Pizza Hut. That was so much better than any chain pizza place out there today.

I paid $16 for my baconator combo today. That was way too much.

I actually like Wendy's breakfast the most right now.

Speaking of Chic-Fil-A, I see they are building a new one in Coralville where Casa Azul was.

The truth of the matter is, Dunkin' is better than all these options, in my opinion ... for me ... not for the family. Any time of day, a bacon, egg and cheese on an English ... I can house 3 of them without blinking, but I usually settle for only 2. Plus I can pick up a coffee if I'm dragging. Kids would prefer other options, unless I'm also willing to throw some donuts/munchkins their way, on top of it.

Never impressed with the service at Dunkin', but do enjoy a blueberry donut.
