Is it true people were driving to California to vote in their elections recently. I saw this on social media but generally disregard anything I see there without verification. Why even bother having elections if that’s true? Just appoint leaders and steal the money you save holding a sham election.
California does not require a photo ID to vote.
People registering to vote for the first time have to provide either a driver's license, state ID card, or SS# to sign up, based on the Help America Vote Act from 20+ years ago.
So if someone living in Nevada drove to California to vote, they would need to provide a CA DL, a CA state ID card, or an SS# to sign up and vote on the day of voting.
If someone is found to have lied, its a felony in CA.
Based on that, I guess sure it is possible that countless people crossed into CA from OR, NV, and AZ to vote under fake names using fake SS#s in the hopes that they arent caught and jailed for up to 3 years.
What is possible and what is likely may not be the same thing here. Is it realistic to say countless illegal votes were cast in a PRIMARY for which two will continue to run for Gov or which two will continue to run for a handful of US House seats? The actual election is in November. This was a primary to reduce the field.
When the President of the country claims there was voter fraud the day after the election, despite not having any evidence to support such a significant and serious claim, it hurts the election process and hurts the public discourse. Its just a casual accusation at this point. Its a default claim and since there is no requirement to support the accusation or penalty for not being able to support the accusation, it continues to be claimed.
