It's a money grab, but it true Troy Dannen fashion he will frame it as something that being done to help out the fans.
I've never had season tickets, kinda clueless how the whole process works. However, I'm definitely going to look into getting into this pissing match for basketball tickets. Given what I paid on the secondary market for 10 games last year the current season ticket holders are already very amenable to selling their tickets for profit. I ran into someone I know that has had season tickets towards the top of the lower bowl for a long time, I was shocked at how little he has to donate per year to keep them. I don't remember the number so I don't want to make stuff up, but it wasn't much.
....AAAAAAND once again, they don't miss an opportunity to grab the bag.
I mean, with all the Big Ten money we pull in you would think we don't need to do this...
As a season ticket holder for many many years, I have witnessed some really bad basketball teams and games. Finally the last 3 years have been enjoyable to go and watch. Our donation to basketball has been reasonable over the years. Our seats are on the end of row of seats , which works good with me because of a bad knee ( I can get up a walk around to stretch, without climbing over others). This new seat process and I’m sure higher donations really sucks
I mean, it was easy to get good seats the first time. So it will be interesting to see how it goes for the people with lame seats.
