I love America. I despise fake patriots.
We were boating with some of our friends during Trumps first term - and one of the guys saw an American Flag on someone's dock and he said he has a hard time looking at the American flag as he thinks they could be a Trump supporter. What an idiot!
E. Republicans do nominating Trump, voting for him 3 pitifui times now and then ultimately laying down to him and whatever he wants or demands over our Constitution.

I wonder what the survey question was exactly. And in what context? I wouldn't be able to say yes, I'm proud to be an American if the question was asked after a laundry list of decisions our government has made recently. I'm glad I live somewhere that I can freely complain about it but proud? Not really.
I fear that most democrats are only proud of the country when they're in charge.

I believe Democrats truly believe in trying to help people. I also believe there is a wide variance in how individual Democrats want to achieve that using government as their tool. Democrats don't hate America. Some Democrats hate Americans who don't have similar beliefs.

You must have been in a coma when Trump portrayed this country as a flaming hellscape during Biden's presidency and especially in the 24 campaign. Or anytime a rightist brings up California, Chicago, or Minneapolis. But yeah. Totally just dem thing. JFC
I always believe that deep down at our core that Republicans and Democrats are not all that different.
We both want, at the core of almost all things, to be able to safely raise our children to be good, responsible adults.
The difference is that Democrats want that for all children, not just their own.
