Pope needs some lottery pick cred. This kid, Hampton, and maybe Spears could change everything for Coach Pope.
Chandler didn't impress me. He couldn't even dribble. Morton can at least dribble the damn ball. Agree to disagree.Chandler is better than Morton
Me too brother. I will gladly eat a ton of crow. Pope and the staff seem to be rolling now, got a new gm and Stein is cooking on his end. We are long past due for some good times.Pope about to make me eat a ton of crow and I’m cool with that![]()
You guys acting like he was Stanley from The Office out there dribbling cracks me up. He’s not an elite ball handler but not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.Chandler didn't impress me. He couldn't even dribble. Morton can at least dribble the damn ball. Agree to disagree.
His handle is weaker than a Dollar Tree knife's. There's a reason why we make cracks about it. But hey guys, I'm done talking about my opinion of Chandler. Let's get back to a guy that matters. The subject of this thread. You guys acting like he was Stanley from The Office out there dribbling cracks. He’s not an elite ball handler but not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.
Chandler had 39 turnovers in 36 games. Richie Saunders had 41 in 25 games.
Chandler was a good player for us but has a few weaknesses that need tightened up. Think Pope made the right call in not overpaying him. I'm sure that was not easy for Pope given his history with Chandler but it was the right call in my opinion. You guys acting like he was Stanley from The Office out there dribbling cracks. Agree with all this. Just think that critique is way over exaggerated. I won’t post on this anymore so I won’t derail the thread continually.Chandler was a good player for us but has a few weaknesses that need tightened up. Hope the kid crushes it at BYU but personally think we are better off with our new additions.
I agree. He needs to improve his handle but its not like he cant dribble at all so critique needs to be fair.Agree with all this. Just think that critique is way over exaggerated. I won’t post on this anymore so I won’t derail the thread continually.

I think Morton will get some run as a backup pgIMO, Z. Hawthorne, Noah, Mason Williams, Morton, and Potter should only be available as "Break In Case Of Emergency" players. That leaves room for 10 players to be starter and backup. I think that's much more manageable than looking at the roster as a full 15-man set.
Most of the guys in that 10 are going to be able to play 2-4, with some guys like Uzi maybe able to step into the 5. I think there's gonna be a ton of tinkering and switching out between Zoom/Wilkins and Moreno/Franck.
Chandler is not a strong primary ball handler, that's just true. At BYU he will be used exactly like Saunders though, off ball movement to get spot up shots, and he will thrive in that roll. At his best, he is an off ball spot up shooter with transition athleticism and slow lateral quickness on defense with below average handle. Good player, not a game changer. You guys acting like he was Stanley from The Office out there dribbling cracks me up. He’s not an elite ball handler but not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

Part of the reason chandlers turnovers were low was due to O.O. and DA not ever giving up the ballYou guys acting like he was Stanley from The Office out there dribbling cracks me up. He’s not an elite ball handler but not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

Dude, if Nikola comes here Noah will never see the court here lol. 12th-13th manGod imagine the "small" ball guard lineup we could break out
Zoom
Wilkins
Nikola
Kam
Noah
Probably, but I feel like at most, 10 minutes a game can be given to Morton and/or M. Williams at PG. Every other minute should be Zoom or Wilkins.I think Morton will get some run as a backup pg

So, a starter on another team cannot earn minutes as a backup on a contender? Jay Shidler please sit down. You are no longer needed.Morton, Potter. Noah, Zyon and even Mason Williams are not regular contributors on a title team. That's why nobody had Kentucky having a chance at winning it all.
Ritchie controlled the ball off the dribble more than Chandler. You guys acting like he was Stanley from The Office out there dribbling cracks me up. He’s not an elite ball handler but not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

Noah is shooting lights out in practice. Im guessing he will be 6th or 7th man in rotationDiallo
Wilkins
Milan
Uzi
Moreno
Morton
McBride
Kam
Hawthorne
Kepnang
Kusturica
Damn. That is one of the deepest and most talented rosters out there. Not to mention.. BIG.
And that’s not even including Noah, Mason, Potter, or Zyon. A couple of those guys would have been good enough for a few minutes here and there. Not anymore.
With our injury history I'm convinced I would get some run as a backup PG if Pope signed me up. And I'm 46, short and slow.I think Morton will get some run as a backup pg
Does it really matter? Whatever rules they put into place just seem to get negated in court. The NCAA is supposedly tightening restrictions on international players who want to play college sports, making it so they're ineligible if they've made barely anything. I've seen people say the new rules will have to be grandfathered in but who knows? I hope we get this guy, but won't feel good until him and Ndiaye are fully cleared to play.
Wilkins is a guard that's the best scorer on this team. No way Kusterica will change his mind. He couldn't play guard if he wanted toLol, this kid is coming to play THIS YEAR and people are crazy to think otherwise. Wilkins may just have to be 6th man.

Trent needs to make shots in the game...under duress....at around 40% to get time. He got a lot of great looks last season. He has a great nose for the ball, hustles, and gets way more rebounds than most guys his size. But he must hit at a 40% clip in games.Noah is shooting lights out in practice. Yes he could. He might not, but certainly couldWilkins is a guard that's the best scorer on this team. No way Kusterica will change his mind. He couldn't play guard if he wanted to
Yea if you want to suck. The kid is good but he's in no way a 2g. Will be pushing it to play the 3.Yes he could. He might not, but certainly could
If we get Kusturica, how in the world does he get a minute?Trent needs to make shots in the game...under duress....at around 40% to get time. He got a lot of great looks last season. Like a broken record. Where are these official numbers made public so we can all be in the know like you.But I thought Kentucky was just a "whittle poor state" that can't afford players! LOL!
To this day, a quarter of this board stills swear that we never spent $22 million last year.
We'll be spending over $25 million next year if we land Kusturica.
NBA Draft Room has Kusturica as the #1 rated SHOOTING GUARD in the 2028 draft. And you say there is no way he could play there unless we want to suck? You are right to shake your head, some people are ridiculousYea if you want to suck. The kid is good but he's in no way a 2g. Will be pushing it to play the 3.
You can tell by the way he moves he's not remotely close to a guard. Smh people are ridiculous
