At the risk of getting this thread locked, as a dad of 2 young girls that has had to do the same, the older guy needs to touch grass. It’s always a dilemma about what to do. Do you risk you child being scarred by seeing a random penis or inconvenience an older lady. I know which one I’m choosing.
I used to stand outside the ladies room with my daughter and wait for a nice lady to offer to take her to the bathroom.
Up to about 3, my daughter went into a stall in the men's room. After that age threshold, I waited outside the women's bathroom. There were not many times either had to be done.
That father had more restraint than me.. that older dude's jaw would be pointing the wrong direction if I was in that situation.
Since I was supposed to take a side concerning data centers, perhaps someone would like to share just what it is we are talking about here.

I have been surprised by the responses. I have never taken my girl into an occupied woman's restroom. Even if they're unoccupied, I don't take her there unless it's just not likely to have anybody come in at all and the men's restroom is either occupied or nastier than the women's. I generally don't find that men are waiving their wangs around in the men's bathroom. I'd check what's going on, hustle her to a stall, and hustle her out. If a man went into the women's restroom while my wife or daughter were in there, I'd be pissed too. If there's nobody in there, that's fine. But it seems crazy to me for grown men to go into an occupied ladies room to take his little girl to the bathroom. When she's been in that inbetween stage where she's too old to be in the bathroom with men but I still wasn't thrilled with her being in their by herself, I've had no problem just having a lady be on the look out for her. I haven't really even had to ask. If they see me standing outside the women's bathroom with her, I think almost everytime it's been busy they have offered to look out for her.
This is the way. Otherwise you make sure all the guys have cleared out of the men's room and you lock the 17n door.
Also, seems whoever's complaining should show a little compassion. Unless he was going in there leering under stalls.
But the real question is:
Why didn't the father just say he was feeling non-binary at that moment?
I have a daughter and the age is super important. If they are 3 and under, I don't mind taking them into the men's room into a private stall. I have yet to see any man walking around with his penis out... After 3, if there are no options to lock a door to a single potty, I knock on the women's bathroom to make sure it's empty or to announce my little girl is coming in. Then I send her in and wait outside by the door to let anyone know who is going in that my daughter is in there and if they could be so kind to check on her. It's been fool proof so far.
Here’s the crux of the issue. He’s traveling with 2 at a random interstate bathroom. Traveling with 1 men’s room ok. But with 2 by yourself creates problems.

I took my kids to the men's room, if a family restroom wasnt available. Carried em into the stall, moved em along, and carried em to the sink then out.
With that said, I cant imagine being pissed to find out my wife or daughters were in a public bathroom with a father of a young girl.
Why would I be angry? The dad doesnt want to be there and is there simply to help his young child succeed at using a public restroom.

Same. I never had a problem standing outside the womens restroom and just telling them my daughter(s) were in there. I always got help from women who watched them and made sure they got out to me safely.
There is a reason that men and women's restrooms exist. You can claim women are irrational for not wanting to share restrooms with men, but they are irrational in the way that virtually all women in western civilization have been irrational for the last hundred years or so.
If you want to take them into a women's restroom, you wait until it's empty. You can ask people to not go in while you wait for it to be empty. You can do all sorts of things other than infringing on their privacy in the bathroom. I'm actually shocked that what I thought was a pretty standard society norm apparently is not. I've seen plenty of men bring little girls into the men's restroom. I don't ever recall seeing men just waltzing into the women's restroom with their girls.
Good lord. It was just an unfortunate set of circumstances for all involved. The law doesn't need to be involved in every instance of this.
I think your view is still the norm. As I said, I brought my girls into the men's room at that age. It seems like the norm around me- was that way growing up, was that way when my kids were small, and it seems to still be that way.
I just cant imagine being pissed off about it, if my wife or daughter experienced a father trying to get his young daughter into and out of the women's restroom. The father is clearly only focused on taking care of his child.
If my wife said she saw a father in the women's bathroom helping his young daughter, I would say 'huh, thats odd. they usually go into the men's room.' My wife would then agree with that statement. We would then be like 'I wonder if that norm is changing or not'.
After that- we would move on with our day. There would be 0 anger because there is nothing to be angry about.
I typically take my little girl to the men's restroom and rush her in the stall, wash hand quickly, and rush out, but it's difficult to say the least. I will sometimes send in one of my 10 year old twin boys to the women's restroom with her, but they are getting too old for that. The problem that I have with the guy is he should realize how difficult of a position the father is in with two little girls. He could have just said as calmly as possible, "Hey, my wife needs to use the restroom and she is uncomfortable with you in here. Could you hurry up? Thanks." He didn't have to be a jerk towards a father who is caring for his two young daughters.
It's just the lack of courtesy. I feel like any place with such cavernous restrooms that you can't shout out to confirm whether it's occupied is likely to have a family restroom also? I'm not saying I'd call the police or anything or even confront them if they didn't do anything creepy. But a grown man entering the restroom that's occupied by say a 10-13 year old girl that's in there by herself is just not ok. They shouldn't have to deal with that.
Now, that I've seen the vid, I hope the poor Starkville Dad presses charges against the old creepy penis-wielding Karen.

As a father of two teenage girls this nearly gives me a heart attack just watching it. You have to be rational on behalf of your two little girls in this situation and not pick up a can of soup and hit this bastard in the head. You really need to go to your vehicle, call the police and tell them a man is harassing you and has just called the cops himself. Wait for them to come down there and tell the guy to leave. I probably would have sat down in the car and asked God for patience and forgiveness, to calm my anger and let this pass. However, I was 35 when my girls were this age. This guy is 25 and the 25 year old ME would have told my daughters to stand back while I beat his *** to the floor. 17 that guy. He's a big fat ***** Karen and I hope he finds someone else to pick on besides a man and his baby girls.

Such an avoidable situation, and explains why so many 17ed up things happen. If people would have a little courtesy, let a few things go here and there, and not 17 with people, these videos likely don't exist.
It's a tough spot for some girl dads especially if the young girl doesn't want to be in the men's room or if it's disgusting like they often are. I mainly used the men's room. May have used lady's room a few times in the diaper change days when one wasn't available in the men's. Later days I just hovered nearish the restroom area with a view on who might be able to enter while she went in. If a woman gave me a second glance I'd just say "sorry...waiting on my daughter" and that was that.

Applying this to the actual scenario- QTs dont have family restrooms. And the video doesnt show the restroom was occupied...the dbag guy wanted the father to leave so the restroom could be used by his MIL(I think).
Applying this to a general scenarios- a father with his young daughter being in a restroom while a 13 year old girl is in the restroom is not dangerous or sexual.
I dont know if you are trying to make the scenario be seen as dangerous or sexual, so I continue to mention both. Regardless, the scenario is neither.
If this is an issue of comfort, then it is a question of who should be potentially uncomfortable based on which designated restroom is used. Should a random person be potentially uncomfortable or should a random father and young daughter be potentially uncomfortable.
Either way, I cant imagine being pissed off. If my 15yo kid came out of the women's restroom and said a father was in there helping his young daughter, me being pissed isnt the proper reaction.
Hate to say it, but it is not surprising he is from Starkville. Starkville has way more than its share of busybodies. Dad did nothing wrong, and old fart just can't mind his own business.
Maybe it's just me, but the dad could have tried to hurry up a little. Yeah the old guy was a Karen, but it seemed like young dad probably made it worse by taking forever to wash extra good between each of little punkin's fingers, and the fact that he was videoing the whole scene makes me suspicious that he was doing that on purpose.

I have had the opposite experience. It seems whenever I need to take one of my daughters into the mens room, there's a Wang. Some old dude that apparently cant zip it up at the urinal without turning around and facing the crowd before he puts it away. I've had arguments with the wife because I now insist she take them, as every time I do there's a schlong on view.
I've never considered just bursting into the women's room though.

At a Disney restaurant a few months ago, a big hairy guy had his daughter in a very busy women’s bathroom. Lots of women were uncomfortable about it. I called him out about it, and he cussed me up and down, and couldn’t believe that I would suggest it was more appropriate to take his daughter into the men’s bathroom.
It was worth noting, there was an adult female in their party, so I’m not sure why she couldn’t take her.
