Chalula is my favorite followed by Texas Pete. Crystal is a good product too.
Chalula is my go to. Less overt vinegar taste than others. I do wish they made a more spicy variant though.
Depends on what you're putting the hot sauce on.
El Yucateco Chile Habanero is the best for tacos/burritos/etc
Aardvark is really good for eggs/fish/rice dishes
Sriracha is good on eggs and asian dishes
Crystal is good for chicken bog and rice dishes.
Cholula is a fine all around hot sauce
Tabasco is only good in bloody marys

Cholula tastes too tomato-y to me which doesn’t make sense but I’m also not even sure you can consider it a hot sauce.
Yeah I see that, although I love it.
I think if they added just a tiny bit of habanero to it and made it like “extra hot Cholula” it would sell like hotcakes.

The Tabasco that you get at their facility is the best one I’ve had. Had it during Mardi Gras on some raw oysters and fell in love.

It's somewhat new. I didn't see it at Hy Vee until earlier this year. I think it came out in 2025 but just wasn't widely distributed yet.

That one's good. My normal grocery store doesn't carry it though, so I don't have it very often. They have the chipotle one though, and I like that one too.
I used to get the blue cap Crystal which was extra hot but I can’t find that anymore.

of late i’ve joined the ranks of hot sauce aficionados. i think i have about 10 different options currently including chollula reds, chollula greens, sriracha, and sambal olek. i like them all but have been leaning a bit more toward the chollula green and samba olek
