Any threads about how Trump wrecked the Washington Monument reflecting pool?

Yes, he is wrong about the reflecting pool,.. The active term here is "maintenance", something that was anticipated, implemented, and now intended to be an on going element of having a reflecting pool.
Ahhh the 14 million dollar renovation seems to be going great. Happened just days after the renovation. I’m sure you’d be ok with your own personal pool turning green two days after it opened

Would never be an issue for me as I would never own one,.. Pools, fountains, and water features in general are all high maintenance money pits,.. Water treatment is mandatory.

You are so right

If it’s water and not constantly being refreshed with new water like a river or large lake with rain it’s going to get green algae

Still water like a untreated pool or spa or stagnant pond with no fresh water source will be green

Unless there is some method to treat the water it is going to turn green

One idea is to pump water out of a nearby river and have the water come in one end and overflow back into the river on the other end

or maybe a large artesian well doing same

when you mentioned costs

THE HUGE COST IS RUNNING WATER PUMPS AND TREATING THE WATER TO KEEP IT CLEAR

Fountains have a huge electric bill to keep the water spraying in that beautiful spray

$.12 per kilowatt. hour. 746 watts per HP

That would make it say $.50 cents per HP per hour x 24 hours a day x 365 days a year

Big fountains can take large motors like 25 to 50 HP

Say a 50 HP running a large fountain would be like $ 25 an hour so Like $ 600 a day and so forth

You get the idea

The reason you see so many beautiful fountains shut down is the water treatment costs to keep them clear and secondly the huge electric bill to keep them running

Since it’s DC they might can afford it

Don’t run the salt or chlorination and it will be green in two weeks that you can’t see bottom of pool

I am just doing mine from having sit up since last year and is beautiful green now back crystal clear after 3 days of intense work on chlorination and setting system back up

Neither has Trump or me
Trump has been found liable by a jury of his peers for sexual assault. And he's been accused of sexual harrassment and/or sexual assault by almost 20 different women.

And Trump has definitely been best friends with a sex trafficking pedophile.

You are referring to the kangaroo NY jury that means nothing in my book
