OT - How to retrieve original name and history

I see that a lot of you guys got your old names and post histories back, how do I do that? I signed up back around 2003 as CGblue and had thousands of posts, when everything changed I thought I didn't care but now I think I do. Any help is appreciated.

I just logged in one day with an old email and my history came over. I created this name when I wanted us to hire Mike Leach as coach during the Joker era, kinda lol but I still feel like it would have been awesome. Hadnt posted in over a decade, but it was still there with creation date and # of posts.

It was Gmail account so that may have made it easier since it is an option to login under, but I had kinda forgotten this account even existed.

If your old account was tied to an email address and you still have the email address, it will be an easy conversion.

In my case I only had a user name. I specifically avoided being tied to an email because I had lost email accounts in the past—for example, when old style hotmail shut down, and I didn't want my rafters account locked behind an email address I could lose.

If you have a situation like that they can still help you. But in that case make sure you tell them your reaction score if you remember it and case about. I thought to give them my post count but not my reaction score.

@Bluegrasskingreboot if you write them they can probably still get you set up too: see my situation here. Will just take more back and forth.
