No one from Philly should looking down on others.

This thread wasn’t meant to “look down” on anyone.

It was simply started to discuss bad fan behavior during a championship run and similar threads have been started to discuss such behavior in the past.

If you have a problem with that, I don’t know what to tell you.

Disgusting behavior that has been enabled daily with no accountability..see Newark and other cities

Cosplaying like they are in a video game
This ^, a bunch of animals out there with zero accountability. They are destroying vehicles and property and nothing happens. Sickening

I never saw widespread anarchy in NYC after Giant's titles - being a NJ team did NJ go off over NYGs lol?

I think the free watch parties are a mistake. Anything free or cheap is overwhelmingly more prone to attracting disorder (budget motels, airlines, cruises etc are generally better to avoid if possible) . People in restaurant and club businesses that start to have live entertainment at night often dont want cover charges and then learn the lesson the hard way.
Giants fans are mostly in the burbs of North Jersey. Football is a suburbanite sport as far as fans are concerned. Might have been different had their stadium physically been built in NYC.

No- you posted to vilify Philly behavior that has been discussed over the years.

this is where we read through you and your true agenda on the thread.

And stop acting like it wasn’t.

I agree with this. And it happens everywhere.

With that said- in normal games/circumstances- if anyone is a fan of tge away team, wear your stuff, cheer for your team, don’t be a dick about it and many times, get to know the other fans and just have some “good” fun and you will most likely have a great time.
Not everywhere.
Last night, more BS by fans but I say fans loosely. MST of the trouble makers were there only to cause trouble. And so many are so stupid to have pics taken and posted to SM of them acting like their damage was a trophy.

Knicks did the impossible last night. So dope idiots did crappy things.
Most fans, did not do crappy things.
It sucks that every single city that wins a championship in any sport has these things happen.
Impossible? Since when is winning basketball games against a younger and less talented team impossible?

Again, not every single city.

Texas Rangers 2023 World Series win: Large crowds (hundreds of thousands) attended watch parties and a parade in Arlington, with celebrations described as festive and family-oriented. No widespread reports of riots or major violence emerged.

Milwaukee Bucks (NBA Championship, 2021): Fans packed downtown for watch parties and a later parade (tens of thousands), with energetic but largely positive scenes. While there can be minor incidents in any big celebration, it wasn't marked by the riots seen in places like Philadelphia or Los Angeles.

Looking at videos of celebrations everywhere I get reminded that NY is a basketball State, and the most urban of the sports. Even Radio City was packed. I don't know if the Yankees could even have done all that.

Some appalling and sickening behavior after the loss outside MSG from Knicks / NY fans.

I thought NYC was better than this, but apparently not.

Hopefully this gets cleaned up for the rest of the series and Spurs fans that are in attendance don’t have to fear for their lives.

Imagine wearing a Dylan Harper jersey at the game and getting assaulted and having it torn to shreds.

Sickening.

Those Italians at it again.lololo

My guy - give it up you are a broken record.

I started the thread so I would know the intent. It was 100% meant to discuss what is happening in NYC and with Knicks fans.

I didn’t mention anything about Philly.

You got all bent out of shape and agitated because I called you out for trying to explain the behavior.

And EVEN if this was intended to compare to what’s been discussed in Philly - are you telling me we should only discuss bad fan behavior when it happens in Philly and we aren’t allowed to post about it when it happens in NYC or other cities?

That’s what it’s sounding like.

If you don’t like the discussion then maybe exit the thread keep your Knicks discussion contained in your own thread.

I was reading Leon_Rose (NY Knick president credited for assembling the team) worked for RU

"Rose grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and attended Cherry Hill High School East, where he played basketball and was later inducted into the school's hall of fame.[4] Rose graduated from Dickinson College, where he played on the basketball team. He earned his J.D. degree at Temple University Beasley School of Law while he worked as an assistant for the Cherry Hill High School East basketball team.[5] From 1986 to 1988,[6] he was an assistant for the Rutgers University–Camden basketball team under his former gym teacher.[5]"

Nobody in the thread said this behavior can’t be discussed. And nobody in the thread is condoning it.

Point is NY fans no longer have the moral, holier than thou ground to stand on. NYC gets a Knicks title, while everyone else now sees NY fans as classless thugs like Philly and Boston fans with no national media to cover for their uncouth behavior. That's the contract that the sports gods put on the table.
Funny you don’t see this with other NY Teams. Just the knicks.unlike Phillie fans.
Still not a good look!

Eating horse 💩 is harmless and also happened years ago.

This thread was intended to focus on scummy NY / Knicks fans causing harm to other human beings or personal & public property over the past week.

Now that we’re back on topic, what are your thoughts on the NY fans assaulting this disabled Spurs fan in a motorized scooter?

I'll answer for him- I think you have missed that we have all said that the behavior has been horrible.

I also heard that even the players themselves did some nasty beatdowns during this championship run. Even so bad as they felt they had to beat the crap out of a bunch of tall guys in Philadelphia. lol

Also not sure how many times I gotta repeat myself but this thread is meant to focus on NY / Knicks fans.

You can’t help yourself but bringing up Philly in all your responses.

Talk about a complex lmfao.

Stick to the topic or please, just stay in your own thread you created.

I was trying to stay out but the complex you have on this is next level. Everyone knows what you're doing.

Also that video is clearly fake so try again. Moron.

If it’s fake then Grok isn’t doing a good job at calling that out (and I stand corrected).

There are plenty other real videos circulating out there of the lawless behavior (a few which have been posted in this thread).

Cool.

Let’s keep this thread on topic (NY / Knicks fans) then.

I know it’s hard for you mature people to refrain from $hitting on Philly, but this was not what the thread was created for.

Clearly a young person pulling a prank. Grok doesn't know crap.

No one here likes what the idiots were doing with the lawless behavior. As we know dumb people use these moments to go out and do really dumb ****. They should be found and prosecuted. I've seen photos of them all day so they're looking for them.

This one isn't you but there's also a million videos out there of great human behavior with people helping each other, congratulating law enforcement, and so many other great things I can't list them all.

When you have a million plus people celebrating you're going to get some really stupid stuff.

Two more…

This thread is fascinating. I’ve already condemned any REAL trash behavior from people so no need to do that again. But watching the OP twist and turn and swear up and down this isn’t about his Philly complex is hysterical.

Another example right here, thanks.

I actually like your contributions here over the years, so don’t take it personally. I HAVE stayed on topic of the OP. Any NY fans who are committing crimes and being aholes should be prosecuted in accordance with their transgressions.

But two things can be true at the same time. You claiming this is ONLY about NY is beyond hysterical. You actually have a fair point here…just own up to it and admit you’re trying to “get even.”

The bigger question is, why do fans of all sports across all major cities think that wilding and destroying property is the way to celebrate their team's win?

is it just because they know/think they won't get prosecuted? Is it a lack of common decency? A lack of knowing right from wrong? A feeling of "I get to do what ever I want because I've been wronged in my life"?

Setting couches on fire or climbing street lamps is one thing. Beating a kid into a coma or destroying a business because a worker is a fan of the opposing team is another.

Psychologists could have a field day with all of this.

Now the Soccer fans in Times Square, and with kids present.

Awful!

Do you know how to read? Argentinians and the Algerians are clashing. These are both sections of Philthadelphia. Or they are closer to Philthy than NYC, so again Philthy is to blame! Duh.

Yea I can read, guy.

Do you think there aren’t any Argentinians and Algerians that call NYC (one of the most diverse cities) home?

Not only can I read, but I can also see.

Some horrific scenes unfolding there in one of the world’s most iconic areas!

But you have taken a thread you created about NY sports team fans, and now blamed NYC itself on the behavior of fans of two national teams that are nowhere near NYC. Try harder and cry harder. This has nothing to do with NYC sports fans.

The Title of the thread clearly includes
”NY fans”.

These were clearly fans, and the last time I checked, Times Square was in NY.

Meanwhile you keep showing your maturity by not being able to contain yourself from bringing up Philadelphia once again.

You are quite the triggered guy, with a weird obsession and complex.

Let’s keep this thread to NY, please and thank you!
