Michigan St AD finalist for the UK AD position?

I kind of thought the same thing, but reading from Michigan State fans the president that hired him left and both the president/AD have issues with the board of trustees. Would make sense why he’d want to jump.

I hate liars that tear down other people. They have trashed this woman to serve their agenda, visceral response that matches their visceral hate for a woman who has done great work at UK. Plus Oliver Simmons twin brother is a UL grad.
There are ridiculous beliefs on this board sometimes. My son received a great education at UNC and afterwarts received a professional degree at UK.

Of all the names and people, almost every one of them had something to do with Mitch in the past. Mullins was my thought, but I like this so much better. Mullins was just another name that had barney in there in one way or another.....
J Batt will be a really good A.D. here. I have no doubt. Washing the hands clean, a clean break and split from Barney to J Batt, is the REAL change and upgrading we have needed for SO LONG around here. Now THAT is an upgrade move for us. Sorry Michigan State, but he can make a real difference here.

Hire a GM period. Someone completely separate from Pope. Fire him if he doesn’t make an elite 8 minimum this year.
Fire Mingione and Lawson day one and rebuild the baseball and softball programs.
Find out how to move away from JMI within the next five years. Transform the funding of the program to a model that actually works and make the deals programs like Duke are making.
That’s just the start but those are non negotiables.

The Pat Fitzgerald hire is less than thrilling. But I'm just happy he had no ties to Mitch and Eli. And that he's known for fundraising. It's shaping up to be a great time in Kentucky sports, again
Do you ever review the resumes of coaches ? They move around all the time for better gigs and to bolster their pedigree to eventually nail down a premier job. No different for a AD or in the business world. He is leaving MSU because their BOT are incompetent.
Seems the MSU fanbase is mostly bummed out that he's leaving so thats a good sign.

Stein was a lifelong UK fan and son of a former UK player who only went to UL because they offered him an opportunity to play there and UK did not.

Batt is the former athletic director at Georgia Tech, where he garnered a reputation as a prolific fundraiser. He promoted Brent Key to head coach during his time there and helped modernize the school's fundraising.
Alabama hired J Batt and the former ACC student served in a variety roles while working under former Kentucky administrator Greg Byrne in Tuscaloosa. Byrne, of course, had a working relationship with Mitch Barnhart, which may have helped Batt get connected to Kentucky in this search
Y’all gotta remember that the Pat Fitzgerald hire was really a “hire this coach I like and I will write you a check for half a billion dollars” situation. I would hire Joker Philips back if it meant that level of investment in the program.

Best way we can evaluate him is how Sparty recruited hoops for this upcoming season. Other stops are older and he wasn’t hired soon enough to affect MSU recruiting last year.
This year Izzo got a top 3 recruiting class as far as high school goes. That’s encouraging.
He didn’t do anything to speak of in the portal. But when you’ve reeled in a five star freshman and 4 four star freshmen you may not have a need for portal kids. Also Izzo may not prefer them given his hard nosed, old school approach where I can see him wanting to keep kids and toughen them up.

He’s not gonna “cancel the JMI deal” or back up any of your lies either. If your lies were true, no AD would take the job, but we all know how big of a joke you brainwashed liars are who have trashing and making up lies about our NIL. You will always be always be a joke.
‘Maybe Will Stein will be able to bring one of those Pat Fitzgerald recruiting classes at MSU that’s 20+ places lower with all that money and none of the restrictions clowns like you lie about.
