Michigan St AD finalist for the UK AD position?

On the surface, seems like a good hire. Kentucky isnt gonna go get the AD from some of these huge schools like Texas or USC, but MichSt seems feasible. He knows the important of basketball, etc.
I'd take him over the crony choices already existing within the university. He also is disconnected from Mitch, which is a huge plus.
I don’t know anything about this AD, but I want to know that whoever is AD acknowledges this is a basketball school. We can figure everything else out if that part is understood first.

Tell me he has never met, or had a conversation with, Mitch Barnhart and my opinion of him goes up 1,000 percent. Tell me that privately he has described Barnhart as the greatest impediment to Kentucky basketball success, and that becomes 2,000 percent.
As long as it’s not someone within I’m good with it.
All you have to do is find someone who understands what Barnhart did and then do the opposite and he’ll be great.

Beats all I’ve ever seen. Got people thinking a guy is going to sabotage his career at Kentucky due to being a UNC alum. What happened to finding the best person for the job? This is what that looks like!

Not sure why him being a UNC grad matters. Stein went to UL. Do you think these people are going to take jobs and purposely fail because of where they graduated years ago?
He's is the guy they brought in to clean up the mess. And is fundraising despite all of the crazy stuff that happened at MSU in the past.
Remember, some here have believed for a decade that even though Matt Jones has a UK show and had a UK themed bar, he secretly wanted UK to fail and was actually cheering for Duke because he went to Duke law school.
There will always be a small group here who will take any bit of news and turn it into something bad and then try to bring the rest of us to their side.
I went to MSU message boards. Most are very disappointed. They liked the job he had done so far and he was apparently great at fundraising.
This looks like a massive homerun hire if it happens. Kudos to Eli if so, figured he would just sneak in an inside hire last second.
