I posted about it regularly, trying to bring awareness around the problem. It’s OK that you forgot, but it’s a hilarious thing to get on me about. Again, I was on the road a ton this week, and not on the site.
I’ve been very happy with this admins strategy with the border, and the focus on cleaning up the mess the last admin created.
I just commented last week about Biden ushering in tens of thousands of Venezuelans during a pandemic. People on this site used to get annoyed with my repetitive posting about this topic.
I posted about CHNV, and all the issues that came along with it, when most on here had not even heard about the program. I also posted about when it was paused (because of fraud and other problems), and when it was restarted. Again, I don’t think anyone posted about this problem more than me.

You should be concerned about bio labs overseas funded by the US. The US certainly would not tolerate this crap next door (although Biden let the Chicoms do it the US West apparently).
Perhaps these biolabs are part of the cause of the war - that and US weakness with Democrats in office.

Stop. You have said little to nothing to praise the Trump administration for cleaning up the trafficking problem from Biden/ Haris. It became news in February, so feel free to post your praise for this administration cleaning it up. This thread has been running since early April.

The origins of the war in Ukraine are complicated, starting with the takeover of Crimea while Obama was president. Once Putin saw Biden as president he decided he wanted more -- and I think he was assuming they would get it all pretty easily and then he'd set up a puppet regime like they have in Georgia.
So I agree when you say, it is Putin trying to exploit "weakness with Democrats in office".
Now that Putin invaded, I for one am rooting for the Ukraine to kick Russia's ***. Russia has lost 300-500K dead and 1.2+ million total casualties in 4 years. At this point Russia doesn't have a path to easy victory but a totalitarian govt can keep on bringing the heat when they are bigger and stronger. F Putin.
it’s a brutal war. Unnecessary and costly for both sides. A fantastic opportunity for the corrupt west to launder money and make the elites of both parties rich. Yet another reason they hate Trump for stopping the US gravy train.
Also an opportunity to test new tactics and technologies.
Just basic research reveals that Putin stooge Tulsi Gabbard (good riddance!) just threw something out there without any explanation or context. It sounds like these "biolabs" are places of storage for biological/chemical weaponry created during the USSR years. So way better for Ukraine to have that storage than, say, Putin (who I'm sure has this same stuff anyhow, hope he doesn't use it).
Now let's talk about Russia/Ukraine itself. I did not think Trump could end the war on Day One, so I spend very little time worrying about him not doing it. The Oval Office meeting Vance destroyed was a massive FP embarrassment, especially in retrospect as "no cards" Zelinskyy in fact seems to have an assload of cards he's currently playing at Russia's expense. Ukraine has likely regained more territory on the front than Russia has taken this year (despite the US no longer providing Ukraine a cent, tho we sell weapons to it via Europe), Ukraine is degrading Russian infrastructure with drone strikes deep into that country, and Ukraine is suffering significantly less casualties than Russia while doing this (at this point Russian losses are probably more than 5x Ukrainian losses).
Best seems to recognize that Putin is bad, as I could have told you from well back. He's a liar and a thug. TJ, however, is still posting about Ukrainians dying for warmongers outside Ukraine. So laughably and comically dumb. Ukrainians are dying to avoid Russians subjugating them (again), they are clearly an independent people who want something better than the yoke of Russia/Putin, and their military is pretty tough. Something akin to what I'd expect from Poland, except the Poles have the benefit of better geography these days. And yet TJ is out here parroting far rightists online, who - while shameless - should probably commit hari kari their takes on Putin's strength and Ukrainian disaster were so wrong. I'd have thought we'd have moved beyond the Tucker Carlson BS with Ukraine fighting such an impressive war against the Russian meat grinder (and Trump not accomodating Vlad), but alas the trenches the online right built alongside Putin were so deep to be impermeable to reality.
Where does someone like TJ go after Trump? There's a real chance the GOP returns to a more normal posture, more populist than in 2015 but also still appreciative of the Reagan legacy. Does he just memory hole these kind of takes? (The answer is yes, but whatever.)

The water stuff will die down and Rill might show up with something on low snowfall in Colorado and the discussion gets live again. I get you jump in and out of the thread, but those that are here regularly know this is not uncommon. Rill tagged you in on this discussion for some reason.
The reality is I posted something two days ago about the administration cleaning up a substantial child trafficking mess and mentioned Rill as I thought this was near and dear to his heart. For context, in a previous back and forth with Rill on his ranting about Trump and Epstein, I pointed out Trump closing the border has stopped way more atrocities than the Epstein situation that is not currently harming anyone. Rill stated he was so concerned about Trump/Epstein as he is a father of daughters. Going back to when I pointed out Trump cleaned up massive child trafficking by closing the border, Rill has been silent on the topic. Well, except he will still randomly mention Epstein(which is fine), but your take seems to have cooled his jets there.
I sometimes wonder if 7 name Sam still pushes Epstein. I would assume not as he needs friends and you might be the only one remotely resembling one

I was talking with a close friend about how Somali immigrants have so many more issues than Ethiopian or Eritrean immigrants (border nations). He's Jewish, and he basically said Ethiopia/Eritrea are largely Christian countries, while Somalia is not.

I have no idea what you just said. It is possible bad actors in the West wanted Russia to invade the Ukraine to launder money but I think it goes back to Putin, sole decision maker in totalitarian Russia.

The Epstein story is a giant canard where the actual wrongdoing was overwhelmingly Epstein but our conspiracy loving losers on both sides want it to be so much more!
Closing the border was going to close off the other trouble that came with it. I hope we keep the border closed and ultimately land on a more sensible immigration policy that takes into account many factors about this moving here.
Again, it will be interesting to see how you adjust to a more sane politics that will come back at some point. Memory holing your insanity probably best, but maybe more fun to be one of those Japanese soldiers still fighting 30 years later.
Since I haven't changed much at all since 2015 and you have lost your mind, it won't be me with a difficulty adjusting to a better politics. Hopefully Rs return there in the 2028 primaries, but if not desperation will be high in 2032 for a winner (usually someone less crazy).
