What was stated by WDDT in post #202 was: Donald Trumps actions are impacting you less than 10% different than any other president whether their name be Steve, Sara, or Sven. You being a failure who is consistently falling further and further behind is your own doing.

You challenged that statement so I provided some statistics. Then you went on a long rant about your personal finances, your home value, grocery prices, race discrimination, sexual discrimination, and your kids at risk of dying from measles. You even went as far as to say my neighbors hate me.
No, I simply posted about the ways in which the Trump administration has impacted me, my family and this country negatively. Don't get pedantic and semantic with me- you're moving the goal post.

This Trump administration has negatively impacted my family, my community, and America worse than any other president in my life time- I was born in the late 80's, which I know is young for someone like you born in the 40's. But It's just a fact that he/his administration has. I'm sorry if you can't stomach the reasons

It was a hunt club. I'm not talking about a push mower dipshit.
listen lil homie- I don't interact with idiots on this forum (other than @JohnHughsPartner who recently broke up with me over yacht rock), and the only time I've interacted with you is because you have quoted me like 4 times unprompted. Please put me on ignore, as you're not just an idiot but also a dumb, racist, skinhead. I don't want to ever be associated with someone like you

Crazy work that Iran gets reparations before the previously enslaved American citizens but who am I to judge amiright @MTTiger19
You mean people from the 1860’s that were slaves getting money from people in 2026. Yea that’s dumb as hell. Always has been, always will be. What was Lincoln’s idea, do you know what he wanted to do with them? It wasn’t reparations. It’s a retarded position whether you like it or not. Do me a favor tell me how my family and I owe Karmelos family money. I’ll wait….

I know it is extremely not PC to say, but the former slave owners have more of a right to reparations than the slaves. From a legal standpoint.

This not enough @tigres88? Need more right? Fvcking loser.
Over $22 trillion (inflation-adjusted) spent on anti-poverty and welfare programs since the 1965 War on Poverty. Black Americans, with higher poverty rates, received a disproportionate share.

Most Americans’ family lines arrived after emancipation or never participated. Treating people as avatars of ancestral groups rather than individuals echoes the racial essentialism the Civil Rights era sought to reject.

Lincoln wanted to send them home. That’s the reality. Somehow from 40 acres and a mule 200 years ago to free everything and DEI still aren’t enough. This isn’t racist either. It’s populist. We are all in this together, equally. No one deserves advantages or preferences. Period.

tl;dr reparations won’t work and the dems should focus on how to improve opportunities for all in the future, not how to hand out money based on historical inhumanity. A lot more below the line.
_______

We are 150+ years past the point where reparations would be viable. First, who deserves them and why? How do you adjudicate it? Do you have to have a direct family member that was a slave or do you get reparations because of segregation and racism post civil war too? If some level of societal segregation is all that is required would we give some to the Italian and Irish immigrants too? What about native peoples and the Chinese/Japanese?

Beyond the logistics I just don’t see how this could ever be fair. Should someone whose ancestors immigrated post slavery have to pay? What about someone whose ancestors fought and died to free the slaves - didn’t they already pay the ultimate price? This will create division in society on racial lines and that will do far more harm than good. Obviously the history of slavery and racism in this country was horrific and institutionally removed opportunities for black people and many other groups too. But we have spent four generations trying to make amends (not counting actions taken immediately after emancipation). Affirmative action started in 1961. The oldest baby boomers were 15 years old when Kennedy implemented it for the first time. At some point you have to accept as a society that not all wrongs done historically can be rectified fairly.

Finally it is not a winning policy politically. It might win you a seat in Congress in a deep blue district, but it is DOA at a state or national level.

In summary reparations are logistically impossible, likely to be unfair to many people, 100% certain to amplify racial divisiveness and discord, and a political loser of a topic. Instead of trying to balance the scale of the past 200 years the Dems should put forward policies that provide opportunities for all over the next 200.

I suspect the right will try to throw a lot of these topics at the wall over the next several months to try to paint Dems as extremists. The Dems would be wise not to take the bait.

It's hilarious to me that Maga constantly tells the WOKE LIBROLS that we don't have actual issues coming from the trump administration and that we can't prove that we do, and instead we just have tds.

Then, if you ever give them ACTUAL experiences or proof of said issues, they just melt down and gas light. They're simply awful humans
You don't. You're a wannabe victim. Poor you. Get over yourself.

I'm really struggling to see your point at all. I work a tech job and make well over 6 figures. I have a family and 4 kids, which is expensive af. I have a budget, and money isn't tight- all I was saying was that filling up my gas car for over 100 dollars multiple times a month doesn't fit in the budget. My grocery shopping budget has been exceeded because of inflation and the rise in grocery prices.

My wife makes 6 figures in tech too, though just at that number. I'm not going to pick up another part time job when I work 50+ hours a week as it is, though I would if I had to. I don't. That doesn't change the fact that we can't afford the damage this administration has done to this economy, and to families.

You literally made no point, and if you worked 4 jobs when you first had a baby, I'm sure it was all retail/restaraunt/blue collar stuff. I don't need to do that lil guy
If both of you are making over 6 figures, and you can't afford gas, your comment makes zero sense. Keep playing the victim. Go move to Cuba with the rest of your Commie friends

😃 I will have my second child's college paid for by the time she goes to kindergarten and have a lake house on my periphery. You cant afford gas.

EL OH EL.
That's the problem. All administrations do things that are good or bad depending on your point of view. I think it's healthy to discuss and debate specific policies but when the starting point of such conversations is so extreme and with total disregard for facts/data things get stupid in a hurry.

You know he got voted best dressed in 8th grade, correct? You are talking to a celebrity. He also got voted Worst Poster of the Year on HROT. It didn’t bother him a bit, though😉.
