Not sure if you’re critiquing my point in the post or not. Here’s my point, and it is only mildly related to the number of alleged victims testifying. Say there were 2 truly abused boys. It’s easy to imagine nobody outside those two and JS knowing. Now raise that to 5. Now to 20. Now to 50. Now to 100. At some point the more true victims there are, the harder it is to imagine the whole thing going unchecked for so long. That’s what some (many?) people think is weird here.
Now repeat the exercise with most of the additional “victims” having a motive to lie later about abuse and keep their motive secret. The same (outside) people contend that’s more consistent with the thing seemingly going unchecked for so long.
On the other hand, take some time to study the case of Aaron Fisher. The boy who cried "wolf" many times in his life. I believe his step father was later convicted of abuse. His mother (who led the charge to "own Sandusky's house) loved sending him to Jerry's so she could bar hop on weekends. In any event, Aaron had trouble convincing multiple grand juries of his veracity and not until extensive "therapy" and a one of them "reading" his testimony did an indictment occur.
All of the other accusers then miraculously came out of the woodwork after unanimously (initially) denying any abuse. But the PSP and big wallet lawyers were now mobilized.
As for "hundreds" of accusers that weren't called? Poppycock. Have you ever been to a casino and watched people stand in line for an hour waiting for a free $5 frying pan? Husband and wife so they get 2? Like they don't already have one.
Every "so called credible" accuser got paid. Imagine the liars that came forward trying for a payday that even PSU and their attorney's couldn't reward.
Ira Lubert who handed out money like candy admitted that several who received settlements were lairs.
No one should be afraid of a new trial. Let the chips fall where they may after that.
