Schaffner goes down swinging, but great job by seeing eight pitches...that is a QAB
Took 8 pitches to get Schaff out. Keep running up his count guys.
Would have preferred a bit more patience there from Gavin, but I appreciate the idea of ambushing a guy first pitch after a long AB
He threw enough balls to walk both Schaffner and Hull, we just swung at them.
I know he went around, but I can’t stand when the plate umpire makes that call.
I’m sure he did go but I’d love to see the down the line view of that check swing

Shaffner and Hull should’ve both walked. This guy can’t throw strikes with the breaking stuff. Sit fastball and lay off the breaking stuff.
If we are going to get into a pitcher’s duel, I’m glad the first inning cost Rabe 60% more pitches than Jason. I’ll take our bullpen over anyone’s.
2nd time through they will be walks - hard first time seeing 97-99 and that diving slider - all those ABs were solid

It is crazy that they built a stadium where the shadows play a significant factor in every 6 pm game, which is most of the important ones.
We haven’t seen elite velo like this where the stuff is also + all year. May take a few innings, but working 2 really good ABs is good to see.
I know they struck out, but they got to see a lot of pitches those two at bats. Could pay off the second time around.

Gotta live with loud outs. This guy’s going to be in the zone so no big benefit to taking. If he throws a fastball in a spot to hit, gotta be aggressive.

Do the SEC fans just always carry their Pom Poms to games or do u think they have someone who gives them out for road games? Ole Miss isn’t only school that has them. See it a lot for SEC football for road fans.
