Students haven’t gotten rich off NIL the players have.It would be more fun to throw quarters at them.
why students should throw money is beyond logic.

By that thought process, any player on a team that doesn't get minutes could sue the university because they're hindering his future earnings potential by not playing him. I know that's ridiculous, but most of this anymore is past ridiculous.Does TT even have the right to not play him or would they also be liable? Not saying they have any intention of not playing him if eligible, but it definitely puts them in a difficult position.
Are you aware you extreme lefty anti-Trumpers have now become the crazy people that everybody else has to deal with?? Are you proud of yourself?Hey, it's Texas Tech. They're just following their dictator's MAGA playbook. Do whatever the hell ya want, and make up bullshitt in a ludicrous attempt to explain the inexplicable. Buy some judge, and lie and cheat, and then lie and cheat some more. And just keep on doin' it and dare anyone to stop you.

??????? Since when does any team have to play any specific player? They could make up any BS for why he's not playing. The AD's statement was all BS anyway, so that would be right in line. Hell they could say his recovery is the most important thing and it would not be prudent for him to play during contest where people are betting on them. of course they aren't going to do that, but its certainly within their power to do so....Does TT even have the right to not play him or would they also be liable? Yeah I've kind of given up on the logic of what is allowable in college sports.??????? Since when does any team have to play any specific player? They could make up any BS for why he's not playing. Both comments need to be off the football board. That said, simply release the Epstein files, be done and everyone can be proud. Agreed?? And I am not an "extreme lefty" by any means. Are you aware you extreme lefty anti-Trumpers have now become the crazy people that everybody else has to deal with?? Are you proud of yourself?
Evidence? Don't you realize in today's world we're allowed to just say whatever we want to say and expect everybody believe it's a fact.Dan Weitzel, columnist that screamed bloody murder the first day, today penned a column that says TT and Sorsby are blameless and only doing what every school in the country would do.
You know, the cynical " no rules, everybody cheats," take on the topic.
He clearly is ignorant of Iowa and ISU following the rules, unlike TT, and suspending players for the season.
All of these media guys have sponsorships from betting sites but sit there and preach how the schools also profit from gambling revenues
The only way to really get attention is for gambling industry to lose business as gamblers do not trust integrity of games.
Weitzel claims every school would do as TT has...bull crap..no school ever has, so where's the evidence to back his claim?
Bad Posters make Bad Posts. There you go again Duke, cut out the political BS.
Sorsby broke the most important rule in the book, he knew gambling on his team was a cardinal sin. Yet a slick lawyer who is a sleeze ball, and a tainted judge with TT loyalties gave him a pass. Now the state AG is sticking his nose in it. They may win this battle but long term, lose the war. Hope they do. Lost a lot of respect for Texas in this deal. While Regula noted the potential pathway for the NCAA's legal battle, a Big 12 general manager who spoke to USA TODAY Sports Thursday offered a much more candid view of his program's current mindset.
"I absolutely do," he said, granted anonymity to speak freely, when asked if he expected to see Sorsby playing in Big 12 competition this fall.

The college sports world, and general sports world, will never forgive Texas Tech for this. This will be remembered during the next round of realignment.
Yeah, sure, if we're still stuck on being uber-concerned about the Epstein files - Release everything for God's sake. Will they? No.Both comments need to be off the football board. That said, simply release the Epstein files, be done and everyone can be proud. Agreed?? And I am not an "extreme lefty" by any means.
Two words on how this started - Pete Rose.
Epstein was an intelligence asset. It is quite clear. He was allowed to gather dirt on world leaders through very illegal means. He was free until he wasn't.Yeah, sure, if we're still stuck on being uber-concerned about the Epstein files - Release everything for God's sake. Will they? No.
The Biden admin had ample opportunity to prove criminal wrongdoing by DT regarding Epstein Island.
Is every single past POTUS guilty of shady sh*t that has been covered up and/or lied about?? 1,000%
I'm WAY more proud now than I was at any point during Joe's pretend presidency. But damnit, Donald, you're f'ing this Iran thing up!
They didn't bet on their own games, but that wasn't the point. Two stars still had to sit out for a year, and nobody questioned it.See Paul Hornung and Alex Karras before Pete (1963).![]()
See Shoeless Joe Jackson. While it never came out that he gambled himself, he was definitely involved with gamblers and worked to throw games for their benefit.See Paul Hornung and Alex Karras before Pete (1963).![]()
Who here had a Texas vs Oklahoma political proxy war over CFB on their offseason bingo card?
I believe the Oklahoma Attorney General is also running for Governor, so he is also biased (or motivated, whichever term you prefer).Paxton, running for senate seat in November, must have calculated that coming out strong for TT would be well- received among Texas voters.
Tcu,Houston,Baylor are in big 12 and aligned against TT.
Smu,Texas,Texas a & m, are also in the state.
The fans of all these schools may not appreciate Paxton's intervention.
Now, Cody Campbell TT billionaire booster is a big contributor to Paxton's campaign so maybe once again the billionaire may prevail
