I have the afternoon off to watch the first game at 2pm. I’ll watch them all tomorrow too! Hoping to hear some thoughts and discussions from everyone!

It will be interesting to see how WVU does in their first game. They have been playing lights out. Can they keep it up away from the county roads of home?

Will Troy just be “happy to be there” or are they a real threat to win a couple of games?

Should be a great CWS. First game should be really interesting.

WV pitcher doesn't throw hard if they throw their ace first game. But he has great control. Curious to see how Troy hits him. They've been hitting the ball really well and have a lot of pitchers in the mid 90s

If Steph returns to their mean then I think WVU wins this one pretty easily. But the Trojans have been hot for two weekends in a row now. Hosting the Super last weekend kind of gifted them this CWS spot…but it also could have hurt a little as it was admittedly a dip in competition level. I’m interested to see how it plays out.

I was going to drink every time Eduardo Perez says something stupid, but it's too early in the day lol.

I would guess yes, He was 10-1 with a ERA 2.13 I think it was.

Yehl has been their Friday night guy. Cole has been their Friday guy in the post season (i.e. pitching off)

Troy has just given away two runs with sloppy baseball. Not paying attention to the baserunner in the first. Diving for a ball with runner on 1st and 2 outs to allow him to score. They can clearly hit but it's tough to win at this level giving away runs.

Yehl was 2.10 era and a 9-2 record. Cole was a 2.85 era with a 10-1 record.

When asked about how they think the weather will play this week, Perez just said, "I love it. Wind blowing out," as the camera shows the flag blowing straight towards home plate LOL!

Ben then gently says, "The wind has changed and is blowing in."
