Who Are the 20% Who Approve of Trump On Gas Prices?

I'm watching a news show saying polls show 80% disapprove of Trump on gasoline prices.

Unsurprising.

But who are the other 20%.

Gas station owners? Big Oil CEOs? Climate change zealots?
nobody likes high gas prices..we all, or most of us, use it every day. But IMO there are a heck of a lot of things to criticize Trump over more than gas prices. When Trump was inaugurated this time, the average gas price was in the $3.07 -$3.10 range. If you add in inflation from last year that would raise today's price to about $3.18. Right now gas is in the +/- $3.50 range. So higher for sure, but not as bad as beef, for example.

We all know the reason for the high gas prices, and trump is certainly to blame. Hopefully we see some correction if the terms of this new deal, as being reported, are accurate, but then we can turn criticism to housing, groceries, deficits, invasion of Cuba...I'm pretty sure lower gas prices won't significantly improve Trump's approval into positive territory

There are plenty of folks on here that don't mind the gas prices (as long as Trump is POTUS). They are the same ones having a cow back when gas prices were up under Biden.
well, what's a little difficult to figure out is where the left really comes down on oil/gas prices. For years now, the position has been that we want to cut back on the use of fossil fuels.....well, might mean less supply...given that we're selling more gas powered cars, that would mean more demand. This imbalance would mean higher oil/gas prices. But every time we seem to get a point where oil/gas prices go higher we blame the President in power...be it Biden or now trump.

So do we want more oil or don't we? There is no way, currently, to power everything with solar, wind or nuclear..

Agreed on that last. And that's why we still need the oil. But IMHO solar and fusion are the holy grail. We just need to get there. Fusion is pretty cut and dried and fits well into our current energy solutions. Solar is less so and requires a storage solution rather than the current make it on demand type of system we currently have.

For instance the amount of solar energy that hits the Earth every hour could power the entire planet for a year. It's figuratively raining soup.

Think about it... absolutely free power for the next few billion years... We just need a bowl to put it in.

People on this forum constantly: I think the trump admin sucks for (insert reason). Ned says "well, it's also true that (both sides) and you shouldn't necessarily think he sucks for that reason."

"Trump sucks because gas prices are high"- literally everyone. Ned says "there are a heck of a lot of things to criticize Trump over more than gas prices"

Bro do you realize how infuriating and annoying this shi t is?

He does. He's just like Bins. At a certain point I think both of them just like getting people irritated.

So the 20% are lying? What would be the point of that and what quality of person would choose that path?

I, unfortunately, have to read and re-read the responses - he doesn't actually answer the topic being discussed.

WHO IS THE 20%?

"Well, have you thought about all of these other factors that play into this highly nuanced topic?"

Answer the freaking question or STFU. I will give him an example:

I am not in the 20%, I think this whole thing is dumb AF. My guess is that the 20% believe current gas prices are "owning the libs".

It's honestly confounding- I have super STRONG opinions and opine about them often on this forum. I don't budge.

However, I really do have the personality who sees or understands arguments on both sides. I actually DO understand why maga adherents are maga. I live around them, I have life long friends who are maga, etc. I think non-magas should try and understand them more.

But even with ALL that said- I have STRONG opinions because I see both sides but I can make an opinion. Or there are ACTUAL facts that inform my opinions.

I'll never understand someone like @baltimorened who "sees" both sides of things but refuses to plant a flag anywhere. And the funny thing is, he doesn't realize he DOES plant his flag. He's a right wing, never trumper, who empathizes with maga (because his wife is ultra maga), so he feels the need to lean maga even though it goes against everything he believes personally.

Just plant a flag dude

Approve of the reason he had to suffer the consequences of stopping Iran getting nukes as that would be far more catastrophic than high gas prices for a few months

LOL at any numpty who thinks Iran was about to get a nuke. If that was the case then the VP, chairman of the joint chiefs and the entire US intelligence community would not have argued against the war.

Why do people believe a man who they damn well know lies, exaggerates and obfuscates the truth? What is it about Trump that makes you believe him? I get that he is fighting the culture war y’all want to fight, but even still you have to know he is lying most of the time right?

Right?

They know. But Trump’s owning libz and by extension his sycophantic followers are also owning libz.

They're cool and tough because they're owning libz, democracy be damned.

Fair enough, my observations are represented above. So many people cannot think beyond how their parents told them to think. My guess is that is exactly what we are seeing with their (ned's) posts.

I am 100% GDI and can see how insane this admin is. At this point it is an IQ test with 20% failing miserably. At least the libs are sufficiently owned!

maybe instead of just criticising ned's post maybe you should respond. Are we all in on more fossil fuels and lower prices or do we want less fossil fuels and higher prices? I read posts about how fossil fuels are leading to climate change and how we need to reduce reliance - ok, I'm on board. Then I read all the complaints about high fossil fuels prices and how it's destroying American affordability - ok I buy that too.

So, it seems to me there might be a little conflict here. You seem to believe the opposite. Ok, I can accept your premise, but please explain it.

A bit higher than $3.50, Ned. $4.09 for regular.

Fits lots of people on these forums. Some use a more subtle approach. Some are quite pedestrian in the delivery. Others try way too hard and really suck at being a troll. Prolly suck in real life as well…

No one has said this. Not a single sole. Just more lies and ignorant memes from you. There are literally people in your party, like AOC, who has specifically stated, she wants to phase out all fossil fuels, wants all oil and coal gone. They want, and have said, gas prices should be like Europe. Your party constantly rails on the oil industry, threatens them, and stops oil leases. Own it. You cannot, nor can anyone in the world, live without fossil fuels. Your party is absolutely clueless regarding zero carbon nonsense policies. Every part of your physical life, either depends upon or is affected by fossil fuels. You do nothing but bring drama and nonsense. You're not a serious person.
