Don Mattingly
Keith Hernandez
Dale Murphy
Jorge Posada (go compare his stats to Gary Carters. Carter had almost 2,000 more at bats).
Not including the steroid guys (which should all be in)
Carl Furillo hit .299 over a 15 yr career with the Dodgers, Won the batting title in 1953 I think it was. Played right field & had maybe the best, most accurate arm of all time--was known as the Reading Rifle.
Al Oliver hit .303 over an 18 year career mostly with the Pirates. Played 1st & OF. Just a terrific ballplayer.
Al Dark was rookie of the yr with the Boston Braves in 1948. Played short & was captain of the Giants in NY for seven yrs.
Better hitter than both Reese & Rizzuto, both of whom are in the Hall. Lifetime .289 BA. Had real good runs as manager of both SF Giants & Oakland A's.
Bill Madlock, won 4 NL batting titles, in the category with Musial & Clemente. Only guy with 4 titles not in the Hall. Lifetime BA over .300. Placed for the Cubs & Pirates.
And none of these guys struck out.
