Munoz grounds to avoid and give up the easy go behind. 5-2. Munoz shuck for TD 5-4 Spratley. Spratley single to double 2 offered 1 accepted 6-4 US. Spratley single TD 8-4 and 8-4 at the break

Hand fighting with Lopes holding center. Odiotti trying to force an underhook but back to collar ties. first warning on Odiotti. Odiotti on the clock. Odiotti single and chases Lopes all over the mat but Lopes gets a crotch lift for 2 on the edge. 2-0 Lopes Odiotti still on the clock. 3-0 Lopes Odiotti with a double and gut 4-3 Odiotti. 4-3 Odiotti at the break

Lots of handfighting and half shots. Odiotti with a double that stalls. Lopes with 2 on the edge that the officials are looking at. 1 blue challenge won 4-4 Odiotti. Odiotti with double 6-4 Odiotti. Lopes with a single Odiotti whizzers out. Lopes really pushing the pace in the last minute. Odiotti with a single to to a Lopes single for a step out. 6-5 Odiotti. Odiotti down blocks to a 6-5 win

Tolentino won the earlier match 13-7 off of a late lace after Ayoub gassed

U20 bronze, not Sr, but Tolentino wrestled him earlier in the tournament and was there with him the entire match and won on a late lace. Looked gassed from the start and was never in the finals match.

Williams with the single and out the backdoor but gets turned 4 times 8-0 Balam Canul. Switched to Williams' turns challenged lost 9-0 Williams. Feet to back for the fall for Williams

I thought they should have been Williams but the screen clearly posted them to Mexico. I believe Williams was the one turning as he could have stopped by letting go of the legs at any time. Williams is scary in free because he does such stupid things all the time that people aren't prepared. He's also going to lose against people he should hammer at times because he'll get into an upper body position when up 9-0.

Nicco Ruiz Arizona State vs Garcia Moralez Puerto Rico 74 Kg

Ruiz holding center a few half shots but not much action the first minute. Ruiz single to double for TD 2-0 Ruiz. Morales with a deep single. Ruiz fights it off somehow and gets the exposure as they go OB. 4-0 Ruiz at the break

Ruiz with a deep single then between the legs for a TD 6-0 Ruiz tries go behind but slips and gets forced into a step out 6-1. Ruiz happy to just collar ties then hand fight then collar tie. Snags a low single 8-1. Another low single 10-1 30 seconds left. Ruiz takes 15 feignts before getting a go behind for a 12-1 TF

Lamer Oregon State vs Orlando Cruz Puerto Rico/Indiana 79Kg

Seems like some sort of intermission. This intermission might be the most cringe thing I've ever seen. You have to turn it on just to watch the video screen to go along with the terrible music. Jamaica came out to I Can See Clearly Now and clips from Cool Runnings. Canada, home to Rush and the Tragically Hip amongst others came out to some country music in French. US gets New York, New York...

The Peru National anthem was so bad I had to look it up to see if the song was awful or the version. It was the version as the song on ytube is terrific.

I donā€™t think too heavy, slower and less coordinated is a good plan. 230 give or take a couple i think we get, leaner, quicker and much more athletic. Which i think is a better plan.

Whatever it is, it's so bad that it's good. The Cool Runnings clips had me rolling.

They really need to end this dance number with that Australian break dancers dead kangaroo thing. It's the only thing that can redeem it.

As someone who had to pay for 15 years of dance classes and sat through more competions and recitals than a I can count. I will say that dance was horiffic and they need to disinfect that mat now.

Lamer vs. Cruz.

Lamer controlling center reaching for ankles. Lamer huge throw for 4. 4-0 Lamer ankle pick to lace 10-0. Didn't finish inside a minute though. Lamer is slipping. Official time 1:32.

Walters Michigan vs Pellot Vazquez Puerto Rico/Roanoke College

Walters won the earlier matchup 5-1.

No light on the match and epilepsy inducing screen in the background. Vazquez with the shot at the edge. Walters leap behind as was getting pushed out for the TD 2-0 Walters. Walters working underhooks Vasquez prefers collar ties so lots of fighting for position. Walters knee pick to a step out that's called a TD and now a challenge won 3-0. This official is awful. I commented on her earlier. No business here. Walters step out is what they were discussing 3-1 at the break.

2nd

Walters knee pick for TD 5-1.Walters down blocking and seems happy with his lead. Knee pick to the leg for TD 7-1. Vazquez single to stalemate. Walters snapping and looking for the kneed pick again. Vazquez double to a crawl out. 7-2. Vasquez shoots and Walters sits in front head lock as time expired Walters 7-2

Mirasola vs Mantilla Colombia

Mantilla is 0-3 pinned twice and 10-0 the other.

He's a big, big Hwt.

Mirasola tries two ankle picks before hitting a 3rd for TD 4-0. Low single to lace 1 turn them jumps for a gut for another 10-0 Mirasola in :52

Mirasola's transition from a leg lace to a gut was one of the smoother times I've ever seen that.

USA dominated with 9 golds and a silver but this production for the finals was gawdawful. A flashing jumbotron in the background, dubstep playing the same song over and over while they wrestle in the dark. The mats are ******, they look like the old horse hair stuffed one and there's not enough room before the drop off. Bad officiating. It's embarrassing when you watch other associations and how well they are run comparatively.
