Need some help from my fellow Husker fans. I am taking a family vacation with 2 adult sons and their families. Looking for a lake front airbnb where there are activities for children ages 14 to 8. Couple of ideas that I came up with is Lake of the Ozarks and Lake Lanier outside of Atlanta. Black Hills is an option for the different activities, nothing on a lake for a home but beautiful mountain setting and not easily accessible for one family to fly into.

Give me your idea's. I want to stay within the US. TIA

Lanier is good, plus you have all the ATL to have fun and do something if you're trying to find activities. The Georgia Aquarium is pretty cool. The new (few years old now) Braves stadium is really nice and the area around it has A LOT to do. If you're into baseball, it is an amazing atmosphere and for families as well.

There is also Lake Hartwell, which is north of ATL right on the GA/SC border. That's the lake I visit frequently. As for other activities, you'd probably have to travel a little more than Lanier but Greenville isn't far which has a lot. Anderson is right there and has a few things to do.

Thanks for the input. We do enjoy baseball, with our favorite teams the Dodgers, Guardians, Tigers and Mariners, maybe the Braves will be playing one of them LOL

Dodgers fan here. See them every year when they come to ATL. They’ll be in town towards the end of August this season.

Does Okoboji still have Arnolds Park? That's a nice lake with a smaller amusement park and tons of restaurants to go to... and there's a water park up there I believe

***Edit I just looked... they've really grown up there! https://vacationokoboji.com/

By the way, the Ozarks are great if you are going there with your friends and are looking to boat/party and look at boobs.

It will be VERY awkward when you get by party cove and your wife, daughters and grandkids see the hot girls flashing all the boats.

So is the requirement needing to include a major airport for some of your family? If so some of the suggestions aren’t viable. I’d also like to know if it’s for this summer since options for both Airbnb and VRBO are likely limited.
