Thanks for the clarity. Yeah, I have no idea why people are so high on Nini when he has not shown anything in folk that indicates the best option for our roster.
Just asking questions on how he's doing against others in the room. Don't read anything more into it than that, or try to imply something.
Oh, it's just rumors from the room? I was thinking this happened when Dunnigan was at Penn. I just have not seen Nini in action beyond getting tech'd by SVN
Sure He can but I dont think he will..JMO...Ive said from the day he signed he will be the Best Wrestler ever in RU History...I stand by that and we'll see how it plays out..That was before the Knox signing and he's someone that will probably be in same conversation
Nobody in the History of USA Wrestling has been on The Bo Bassett Level coming out of HS
Huh? that’s obviously not true. Jax just last year was more accomplished and Luke Lilledahl the year prior
Nini and dunnigan did wrestle Folkstyle while he was at Penn and Dunnigan won 9-3
A lot of ppl were saying they thought Jax, Duke, Miller etc had higher upside.. even a few years ago we had generational recruits like Spencer and Gable..
Folkstyle both Jax and Luke have losses in HS
Bassett was 170-0 and 4 Titles
All are Great
Jax had made a senior world team and LL had made more youth world teams. One could argue Knox had a better or comparable career to Bassett. But I agree all are awesome and it’s definitely the golden age of these freshman coming in and killing it
No doubt ...Bo just Won US Senior Open...These guys are just amazing at their age
Jax was 5th at worlds in HS last summer. Bo hasn't made Sr team yet. And you said USA wrestling then brought up 4 titles those aren't usa wrestling. Last summer Bo didn't make u 20 team Stanich did. So when Jax was making a Sr team and getting 5th Bo didn't make SR or U20. Jax also won u23 worlds last summer

Knox and Bassett are similar level recruits. One has significantly better PR.
Qualify similar level? Knox is fantastic hes not Bo Bassett level… that’s just being real not that he’s significantly behind either …
I think Mytych has a drunk tweeting problem and does not like Goodale,not only time hes done this.

Rose colored glasses. SCNJ prolly one of those guys that think Basset won’t transition well to college ,also, prolly salty Basset pump faked coming here and other programs. We are all rooting for Knox, he’s an elite talent. Basset, like Jax, Spencer, Stevenson is viewed as a generational talent prior to college tho.
Find me one post in my entire history where I said a negative word about Bassett. Feel free to keep making things up.
Knox is just as elite as Bassett. I have no idea who will have the better career. Both are national title contenders day 1.
Too bad...He should be thanking Goodale/ Rutgers for his opportunity coaching in the Best Conference in USA for 4/5 years . I wish him the Best in future

The basset hype machine is no joke thats the only reason he’s viewed on a different level than Knox. i Agree with you they are absolutely similar level recruits, Knox wrestled fewer national tournaments but results wise bassett doesnt really have anything over Knox (unless Bassett makes the sr team this year ) and Knox has literally beat him head to head. Bassett also has had every single training opportunity known to man and was surrounded by a MonStars level team since 8th grade while Knox has had O’keefe to train with.
Goody played golf today at my request in my charity golf outing. Also playing at my request was Labs, Taggart, Elam and Ashnault. Great time was had by all for a great cause.
Golfing is a great networking avenue. Good team bonding with the coaches. Bitterness is an evil thing. I was a fan of his recruiting, but if he is that bitter, it had to show up during the season coaching (Mytch), Whay work at a place you hate being at work or your boss?
Anytime you spend your time working for a charity, you become a better person in my opinion.

This is going to sound harsh, but I don’t care about any of that … just want better results on the mat. Everything else is his personal life and frankly doesn’t matter to me. Don’t care if he cheated on his wife, kids don’t like him , all of that …. Do you are do you not improve the results of your job produce ncaa champions and win a team title. This is all within reason the level of “not so great” person … I mean if your leather face from Texas chainsaw massacre or breaking the law it’s problem, beyond that none of my concern about being “better”. But that’s just me.

I understand your position. It is not harsh, just how you feel about RU Wrestling. Everyone is allowed to have their opinion even if it is different than mine. I agree that the measuring stick is performance on the mat. I don't think a golf match has any relevance to wrestling. I was just thinking if the gentlemen was that unhappy at RU, it had to effect his performance as a coach
I don’t remember who said Bassett was all hype/manstrength n pace/ age advantage will catch up to him in college/he won’t do as well in college etc. idr who said it but someone def did.. and since you said Knox and Bassett are same tier recruits I thought it mighta been you, seems logical enough right?
Who knows who will have a better career, I am hoping it’s Knox. But facts are facts rn most are viewing Bassett as a recruit that will win multiple national titles.. and Knox is viewed more as a high AA contender day 1 that could also win a title by most.
If Jax was Bassett and Knox was Robideau going into last preseason they were both freshmans that could win title right away/multiple years but Jax/Bassett is more of a fav to do so his first and following years if that makes sense to non biased lenses.
Two thoughts: Yes to continue drunk posting for my/our pleasure here. And no, please stop for his own sake. It's already getting a little cringe worthy and at what point does it become pathetic and really cast in cement a bad look for him?

I’m not sure how much clearer I could have made my opinion. You should probably start trying to understand what other people are actually saying before you start putting words in their mouth.
I’ll try again. Knox and Bassett are of similar talent. They are similar ability recruits. I would not be surprised either way if one had more success than the other but both should have good careers. They’re both immediate contenders.
The biggest difference between the two is one has marketed himself at an extremely high level and one hasn’t. That should have minimal bearing on their abilities.
You have this weird obsession with Bassett and seem to think that whenever someone speaks highly of someone else that it’s a slight on Bassett. Knox and Bassett won’t even be in the same weight class so I have no idea what you’re even trying to get at.
I think the Bassett and Knox could be resolved if a drunk Mytych came back and gave his thoughts.
Well, it's hard to have good PR when you and your father plead guilty to a disorderly conduct charge and a $1K fine for initiating a fight in the stands at a high school wrestling tournament.
