What is up with Love for Angel Reese? He believes Angel is driving viewership numbers & claims we will all have to acknowledge her

The W was an unknown piece of garbage until CC showed up. The league repaid her for putting it on the map by abusing her in a variety of ways. Now the W is still mostly garbage, but it's no longer an unknown one. Now its stupidity and bias are out there in plain sight for millions to see. And just a reminder: The Fever averaged slightly over 4,000 fans per game before CC was drafted. When CC stepped onto the floor in Indy for the first time, there were 17,000+ people there, and the same thing happened all over the league and all over TV. And it's still happening. The only difference in the W? Caitlin Clark.
Most of the so-called stars were unknowns to everyone but extreme hoops junkies before Clark.
Jacy Sheldon getting her hammer ready to beat on Clark the whole game and only get called for three fouls.
The WNBA would've liked to have a face of their league, but everyone in that league is out for themselves from the top down, so they could never collectively get behind something.
And THEN the hype around CC picks up while she's still at Iowa, and that starts developing the jealousy internally amongst certain parts of the league. They put on a face and played nice up all the way up through the Draft because they would've been colossally stupid, especially from a financial standpoint, to have started all the bullsh** that we see now...BEFORE...she even got to the league.
But now that's she here with all the hype and the new revenue generation and the changes the league has had to make and how the heightened eyeballs and expecting on the league itself has forced them to re-examine how they operate....................they're comfortable with letting it be known that yes, they wanted a face of their league.............................they just didn't want it to be chosen for them. To them, Caitlin Clark was forced on the WNBA and they have proven at almost every step that they weren't ready for it even though they had plenty of time TO be. But because the league is so poorly-run, they weren't.
@Franisdaman, can you find a list of TV Ratings for all the WNBA teams? I'm hearing that they are a precious commodity.
I would like to see a study done that determines how many people will continue to watch the WNBA after Clark is done.

I never watched the WNBA before Clark. I assumed the product was better than it really is. It’s difficult to take it seriously with all the missed layups, missed bunny shots, and uncoordinated attempts at catching passes.
I recall people saying the women’s game is more about fundamentals and execution. That’s about as far away from true as it gets. MAKE YOUR DAMN LAYUPS.

I'm hearing they're sending out surveys around attendance. Surveys are viewed as a normal data collection tool to help determine pricing strategies with as ticket demand shifts. Ordinarily I could believe that, but with drama centric to Indiana, I just don't know...

Ive been watching wbb since the last 5-6 yrs of the 6/6 game in IOWA.. I've tried to follow caitlin. but there is so much trash on the internet about cc and associated drama that i've stopped. I have no interest in petty jealousies, back stabbing, poor officiating and just general trashy drama. I dont see this stuff in other sports, so am a little puzzeled. If it were up to me, I'd flush the whole thing and start over.
You don't have to engage in that stuff in order to watch CC's games.
You can just tune in to the game and ignore the other stuff.
