Some appalling and sickening behavior after the loss outside MSG from Knicks / NY fans.

I thought NYC was better than this, but apparently not.

Hopefully this gets cleaned up for the rest of the series and Spurs fans that are in attendance don’t have to fear for their lives.

Imagine wearing a Dylan Harper jersey at the game and getting assaulted and having it torn to shreds.

Sickening.

My wife, son, daughter-in-law and son-in-law are each fans of various out of town teams in the major sports and never where anything of those teams to a game played around here.

Kinda figured this post would be coming, and even thought it might be from this particular poster.

But that said, absolutely nothing wrong with calling this out. It’s absolutely vile behavior. And the number of people willing to follow it around just to film are almost as bad. And it’s disgusting to see how people engage with police. We are very very sick as a society.

There are a$$holes everywhere. The only variable is how many.
The issue with this is that even if only 1% of the home fans are ******** to visitors if the home fans outnumber the visiting fans 20-1 most visitors will get harassed because there’s 1 ******* for every 5 visitors and each ******* harasses multiple visitors. And more than 1% of NY home fans are guilty.

There are bad fans everywhere but this is disgusting and embarrassing. And the people here who now claim to be Knicks fans is beyond incomprehensible. imo, the vast majority are big event seekers who just happen to be here. Like people who dress up and go to the Kentucky Derby parties who wouldn't know a race horse if they fell over one.

Nah, Philly fans are in a low class all by themselves. Like UConn football fans low.

But, but, but other cities do the "same thing" is weak sauce.
Let me know when you get actual video of Philly fans literally setting people on fire like we saw on Twitter today of Knicks fans doing that. Own up to being scumbags and stop trying to be innocent angels when you clearly are not.

Horrible game and I cut out at the half. They should call team the NY Bricks because that's what they shoot. Brunson must be injured because he's been awful. Only thing missing is Reggie Miller making choke signs

Lots of that. All these Knicks fans in their gear roaming the streets chanting during the game. Go watch it

Society is now at the point of: (1) which party runs bigger scumbags for office; (2) which city has bigger scumbag fans.

Sad reflection on where this nation is at.

Be better. Everyone. Comparative scumbaggery is no way to roll.

Truth. First I heard of how really bad this got was right here

Obviously the Knicks lulled them with the rope-a-dope huge lead lol. Good comeback despite Hart's effort to wreck it. OG was already my fav Knick on this team before tonight (10 of 15 shooting and 6 for 6 free throws).. He's not laying on the floor for half the game

Win or lose people just want some type of excuse for mayhem No matter what the civil disturbance might be people know that there is a small price to pay for violent and destructive behavior. Hit a cop, spit in his face, threaten wives and children.
You can do whatever you want. No cost.

I have never understood this type of behavior in any city. And we have seen craziness all over- Chicago, Detroit, LA, Philly, etc.
Usually, NY seems to be a bit better but this is just showing there are ******** everywhere.

with that said- it makes it seem like anyone in a Spur jersey was getting assaulted everywhere. I’m going to bet there were thousands of Spurs fans still drinking , having fun and just busting balls are various sports bars all over the city with no issues.

in the places where these mob scenes of violence happened, I hope the arrested a bunch of them. Even the punks with their cameras out.

Epic choke job
Barkley called Spurs "the dumbest basketball team in civilization" for going-up 29 points and then trying 8 three pointers in a row.

I thought Knicks were toast when Brunson rushed his last three pointer that was obviously going to brick. Then OG came in to save the day (and he had a key block just before".

OG's new Skechers look like work boots and theme is a good fit

i wouldn't say it was a brick- that shot may have been off by an inch. 1.2 may seem like a lot of time- but Brunson had to take a shot as soon as he felt he had one open. OG had one hell of a game- not only the tip in but the block on Fox right before that.

Barkley was 100% correct- Spurs played like they have not been coached at all. It's funny too- before this series, I had looked at the Spurs as a fun team and they seemed to be sort of a talented but easy team to like. I had not realized how dirty they play and what a P@@@y Wemby is- and man- the league is doing everything possible to make sure he is the face of the NBA.

I do like that the Knicks did come out last night and gave Wemby a good hard shot. When the Knick's put their big boy pants on - their defense can remind you of the old Knick's of Ewing/Oakley days.

Can't see WTF went on in that video. And coming from a poster on X who idolizes Vick, how does anyone take it seriously?

And maybe the Spurs fan said something insulting to the Knicks fan or asked the fan to keep quiet, which, in today's world, where lame excuses run galore, justifies a violent response and setting the person on fire.

WTF with Taylor Swift. It's bad enough when watching a Chiefs game and she is present, 20 minutes of game coverage involves shots of her.

What exactly is her connection to NY? She grew up close to Philadelphia and moved to Nashville as a teenager. Zero connection to NYC.

Oh, she wore a "Stevie Knicks" t-shirt. And her dopey friends wore "Knickelback" and "Knickole Kidman" shirts.
Stevie Nicks is from Phoenix. Nicole Kidman is from Australia. Zero connection to NYC.

Yeah, get off my lawn.

Point is NY fans no longer have the moral, holier than thou ground to stand on. NYC gets a Knicks title, while everyone else now sees NY fans as classless thugs like Philly and Boston fans with no national media to cover for their uncouth behavior. That's the contract that the sports gods put on the table.

I think this more of a Gen Z does anything for the camera thing...and then uploads it, even, and maybe especially, when it's a crime.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I think it was even older people throwing snowballs at Santa lol.

A lot of NFL stuff involves older people because the tickets are so damn expensive. This is people at a park a few blocks from MSG.

And BTW this will happen to us when we're good again, and every CFB team, because of virality. It is global and in all sports.

You do know Santa is a fake, fictional being that is more a marketing tool from Coca-Cola, correct? That's the thing when people say that...are they still infantile 5 year olds trapped in adult bodies? Mommy and Daddy forgot to tell those folks that they plant the presents under the tree at Christmas, not a morbidly obese person who defies physics.

LOL I actually think telling kids about Santa is stupid and wouldn't with my own. I do think the incident itself is interesting.

Nah, Philly is absolutely bottom of the barrel, whale turd territory, does not get any lower. And there are more of them than in any other city.
