It’s such a shame that a handful of animals have to make tens of thousands - hundreds of thousands across the city - look bad.

Silly comment. 99.9999999% of the people who have been out in the streets, during the finals and throughout the playoffs, haven’t done a single thing to cause harm to anyone or damage anything.

Not sure what you’re watching or where you’ve been my friend (i’ve been in the city for one game, in attendance, and several other games out and about) but that’s just a lousy take. You’re likely just seriously underestimating the number of people actually out there while seriously exaggerating the number of people causing problems. Still sucks just the same. Don’t get me wrong.

Craig Carton on WFAN yesterday said something to the effect of "throwing a egg at someone is dispicable behavior, should not be tolerated... that being said, the guy that threw it... I want him on my baseball team".

The person threw the egg from across the street, over the bus, and hit Wemby in the head. Really is an amazing toss, but seriously, why the F--K would someone do that?? Get a life people.

In a large city there will always be a certain number of people who do despicable things. Some might even be sports fans, but mostly they should just be thought of as hooligans or thugs and treated as such. This is becoming a bigger and bigger problem because of the failure to support the police and apply consequences to such behavior. Such societal failures shouldn’t be used to besmirch sports fans who are enjoying what will hopefully be the first championship run by the Knicks in 50 years. Should the Knicks win or lose the championship there will likely be miscreants who will use it as an excuse for their deplorable behavior, but their terrible behavior is because they are miserable excuses for a human beings rather than because they are Knicks fans.

Not condoning it. That said pretty safe to say Wemby’s actions during the games are more harmful then two thrown eggs.
