Can someone explain to me how Wembanyamas play on KAT was not a foul and they overturn it and call a foul on KAT when Wemby has his arm wrapped around Towns the whole time?? I don’t understand the NBA. Or the fix is in.
I thought no foul was a decent decision. A fout on kat an awful call.

Well it might be 6…. Not sure I’d have money on the Knicks right now though…
I beg forgiveness! Wow! That was the most unbelievable (critical) game ever. Down 29…down double digits the entire game until the final minutes…and win.
Great game…and who does the first Wemby meme of him pointing to his head and turning it around to “Who is in whose head?”

The Fox play was mind-boggling. 11 seconds left he could have tried to dribble out more time and worst case gets fouled for FTs.
And lost in the OG tip-in was that he was WIDE open had Brunson passed him back the ball instead of chucking a crazy 3, because the Spurs didn't guard him on the in-bounds and ran 2 guys at Jalen knowing he was taking that shot. Now Brunson's makes crazy shots, especially down the stretch, but when you watch that replay OG is begging for it back, but instead of standing around crashes the glass for the tip after Brunson put the shot up.

The worst basketball 2nd half one can imagine with a large lead...taking 3s in the middle of the 4th qtr....fox going for a layup when time and ball security are of most importance....guess pitino isnt the only coach that will go down in history for not putting a defender on the inbounder

Incredible comeback! Brunson is so special. OG stepped up with a huge performance and how about Jose Alvarado?

Brown went with Alvarado in crunch time and he made play after play. Gutsy move by Brown, I thought it was smart to get another player with PG ability on the floor. It gave the Knicks a second excellent ball-handler on the floor who could get in the paint and distribute. Jose made big plays. I thought he was going to get called for backcourt violation with under 10 seconds left but they called a foul on Spurs.

Hart has been the guy who does all the dirty work but he was almost the goat tonight. He missed a breakaway wide open layup with under 2 minutes left and he failed to box out Cast[le who got the rebound and foul to put SA up by 1 with 30 seconds left.

Hart in host post game conference thanked OG because of what you posted and the “regret” he said he would have had to life with.

Hart was also the player who got called for a 5 second violation up 2 in the waning seconds of the Whitehead game to win the Big East title.

That said, he deserves all the accolades that come to him. Every good team needs a Josh Hart on the roster.

He is also the player who flew in for a go ahead layup when desi decided to watch and not box out in the next semi

Being a Knicks fan has not been an easy gig in my lifetime. I am very happy for all. When Reggie Miller got on Spike after those incredible 8 seconds, you guys felt it too. Dumb trades, bad draft choices, crummy owner, so much BS out of your control. So, I am very happy for all of you. I understand the irrational pains and pleasures of being a sports fan. Once after a tough SH game I asked Prof Ed why we put ourselves thru all this BS. He looked at me and calmly said, "its for the exhileration".

Amen to that.

I was never an NBA fan. The game is usually too fluid and they are too good. Liked College Ball much better. That being said, last nights game was the greatest comeback I have ever witnessed. It has made me a Knicks fan. I can’t believe it. Particularly in these days of NIL and the portal. If I am going to watch professionals, they might as well not be pretending. I rate that game up there with other epic sporting events: The Miracle On Ice, The Manning throw to the helmet catch, the Immaculate Reception, Secretariat it goes on and on. And these guys are lunch pail guys. Not huge egos, get out and play. Wow!

On OG’s tip, if he missed it, KAT was about to slam in the rebound as Wemby was still out by Brunson.

Incredible stuff in Game 4. Alvarado was so critical in that 4th Q. His quickness helped out with the doubling on Brunson and he hit huge shots!

Never, never, never will I understand having W on Brunson. Specially considering that the Spurs guards have given Brunson trouble all series. OG going for the tip with the center where he is supposed to be might have had a different result.

Positionless? Or dopey?

Both.

The ODDS of the Spurs losing the NBA Finals 4-1, when taking into account the following sequences:

- They held a double digit lead in all 5 games
- Held the lead at some point in the last 2 minutes of every game
- Blew a 29 point half time lead + 20 point 4th Q lead

Are ~1 in 250,000. Virtually impossible odds.

*This is using a high P value (early leads in some games), which actually lowered the odds.

I remember vividly the championships in 69 and 73. I went to some of those playoff games. But I was young and despite loving what I saw it is nothing like I felt last night. 53 years will do that to someone.

What da ya think?

1. Frazier
2. Ewing
3. Brunson
4. King
5. Reed

I had a ton of respect for the Spurs and still do. Except for Wembanyama. The way he ended the OKC series and his dirty play in the Knick series...I will always wish him nothing but the worst on the court. He was protected by the refs/NBA the entire series and last night he tried to break Brunson's ankle by sliding his foot under Brunson on his jump shot. Guess if you can't beat em, you try to injure em.

I was thinking the league might have to give a retroactive flagrant against Wemby, and he would have been suspended for game 6 and everyone would have called it tainted if the Knicks won the series. Thankfully Brunson just carried the team and closed it out. I thought OG was MVP going into the game but that was a hell of a performance by Brunson.

What an amazing run. After game 3 against Atlanta, did anyone think it was remotely possible that the Knicks would only lose one more game in the postseason?
