You have absolutely zero evidence to back that up lol.

If you go into an opponents arena, and you cheer for your team, you're going to hear it from the opposing fans.. you choose what to do from there.

And btw, this is at nearly every stadium and arena across the world. NFL games, Basketball games, heck even Soccer games in 3rd would countries you might get stabbed for being with the wrong team.
I’ve seen this at every NFL game I have been to (sample size is small at 4 games, 2 in Nashville, 2 in Cincy).

Most times the issue was started by a road fan running their mouth while being outnumbered 200-1. It’s just dumb. Bengals/Steelers was the worst I’ve seen. Numerous fights. Lots of arrests and cops.

My parents are UK season ticket holders in basketball and football. When I was a kid we went to tons of away games (to watch us lose) and my dad was quick to tell me as I got older to remember we were the road team and to not start a verbal dispute with an entire section dressed in home colors.

Basically, cheer for your team, be respectful, put up with the razzing and don’t start anything and you’ll be fine.

Exactly. And in a perfect world, it should never turn into anything more, but its of course not a perfect world.

This same thing would happen with Knicks fans attending a Spurs game. You honestly see this dozens of times a year in sports.

He said "many Spurs fans got attacked", which we have no evidence of "many". And he also said "most unprovoked" which we also dont have evidence of.

Im sure there were belligerent Knicks fans, and im sure they all arent innocent. But I find it very hard to believe Spurs fans were just "minding their own business" as they walked out of MSG with a win.

Also, you probably dont have angry Knicks fans if they dont let Wemby just palm their best players head to the floor. That might have caused some of this lol. And ill tell you this, if the NBA pulls this crap on the Knicks again tonight, it could get real ugly. If they were smart (and not trying to rig the series to either go the distance or favoe their budding star), they would throw the Knicks a bone this game, for once this series. Its clear who the better team is when the fouls are fairly even.. so just let them play their game and if this ends 4-1 than so be it.

I dunno, I just thought it was funny that the Cavs game had Taylor Swift and her fiancee guy and the Cavs lost. It was like .... well, even Taylor Swift couldn't stop that inevitability... If having Taylor Swift there can't help, nothing can !!

hahaha

as to if I am really tired of it ... nah. Let them have some fun with it. Catch 'em in an embarrassing moment. We can have another viral controversy.

We just shouldn't have any soccer hooliganism though, by any sides. That's messed up. Screwed up world.

@MegaBlue05 @chroix

Ha this just reminded me of another time.. I went to a Phillies game and figured id wear a Red Houston Rockets shirt, thinking id blend in perfectly in a sea of Philly fans in red.

Its not even the same sport, not even a rival team. And somehow 3 different people happened to notice it was Houston shirt and yelled "Houston sucks!". Imagine if I had on a Mets shirt.

Back in the 1900s, as the kids are calling it, before 24/7 internet in your pocket and social media, the celebrity sightings at these events was kind of cool. It’ll be hard for a young person to believe, but seeing Jack Nicholson court side at a Lakers playoff/finals game was really cool. These things added to the league’s popularity. It was smart marketing.

Now it’s not cool. Now it’s entirely played out. I’d be stoked if I didn’t see Timothée Chalmet. If anything, it’s just more of the boring rehash that has permeated every facet of popular culture.
People like Spike Lee actually like basketball. Half these celebs know nothing about the game. Just go for views and because it’s the thing to do/rich people event.

The celebrities at court side only annoy me if it’s obvious they’re just bandwagon fans. Tracy Morgan, Ben Stiller and Spike Lee have been seen at Knicks games for years, even during bad years.
BTW, I have never seen a good movie starring Timothee Chalamet.
Um Dune is awesome.

Saw a Steeler fan head butt a Bengals fan woman in the face after a playoff game.

I want all Cats to do well, but between the the celebrity’s, hot dogs and crybabies I don’t watch the NBA anymore and haven’t for 30 years. Despite growing up watching and loving it. There is to much greed and no discipline and the bad thing about it is the college game is getting to be just like it.
I'm surprised the nba has survived the last 30 years without your fandom. "Celebrity's"? Sounds like you had "no discipline" in your English classes.

I doubt TSwift is a hardcore Knicks fan but when they're in the middle of their epic comeback and the crowd is going nuts and she's shown doing a little celebration dance, unless you just hate the team, I don't know how you can't enjoy that vibe and party atmosphere. Imagine being there tonight.

For reasons unknown to me there's just a segment of BBN who wants a game atmosphere to be that of a sewing circle with a country album from 1958 playing in the background.

If she wasnt a total phony, she’d have found the biggest Knick fan in NY and sent them to the game in her seat. Instead, she’ll just fly off in her private carbon bomb to the next big thing.

Tell us more how you haven’t watched an NBA game since the late 90’s, this is fascinating. What other programs don’t you watch?
My work keep me busy 14 hours a day. I sleep 8 hours. The 2 remaining hours I spend in here conversing with highly intelligent folks like yourself. I only watch sports on TV in the fall and winter and that only includes college sports. Pro sports of any variety are bland, boring, drama filled productions from which I get very little. I enjoy my work, I certainly enjoy my rest and I actually enjoy conversing with you guys in here. A simple life, one I choose. My physical limitations don’t allow for much more.

At one point near the end of the game, Sandler and everyone else was standing and cheering except Cal. It was a weird look.
