Correct. But, you can find a dude who throws gas but maybe has some small tweaks or developing needed, then put them in that role. Think about a Nate Dohm type. Came from G5 school, not the greatest numbers, but had the necessary tools.

You can’t find a proven closer, but you can find a closer that’s just as good if you apply the correct scouting process.

Either way works for me. With a dependable closer we probably win both of the Super Regional games. Had 8th inning leads in both.
